Re: Stevenage (A)

Brogue they've just opened up half a block in block b looks like 165 tickets left

I'm guessing we've been allocated the entire stand. Seems like we've sold just under 700 tickets thus far.

Re: Oxford (A)

Oxford forum saying 130 tickets were refunded in the home ends due to being on the Reading FC database. Anyone able to verify this? That post seems to be the only source of that information. Being on the database doesn’t mean much by itself; I’m on the Brighton database as you had to join to get ti...

genome
Pepe the Horseman Conor Bradley having a blinder.

Also looked great against Arsenal the other week. Looks a tidy player

Still only 20 too. Seems more than good enough to be a back-up to Trent atm.

Re: Portsmouth (A)

Looking very close to selling out now - 53 left from the four blocks that have opened.

It's possible a small number of seats in Block MQ will open up tomorrow. I count 1929 total seats in the four blocks that have been open, compared to our allocation of 2000.

Re: Summer 2023 Transfer Speculation

Stranded Luton apparently closing in on a deal for Taylan Harris.

Would be a shame if he goes, as I think he could be in our first team squad next season. Seems to have been fairly regularly involved at U21 level, despite only turning eighteen in October.

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

Every time we have ever had a discussion about our wage bill it has been wildly underestimated compared to the next set of accounts. Following PL relegation people said almost every year we must have halved our wage bill because a couple of high profile players left, and yet it was continually betw...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

I'd be surprised if our total staff wage bill is less than £8m, tbh. Even at £8 million a year, we'd still be losing £6 million a year if we replaced them with players who played for nothing. Either that £1.2 million loss per month figure is completely wrong, or there are some horrendous outgoings ...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

125k a month for the stadium, still nowhere near making a dent in the 1.2 million A MONTH!! losses That's over £14 million a year. Given the salaries listed above, our wage bill, unless I'm mistaken, is not even £4 million a year. That would mean that even if we sold the entire playing squad, and u...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

And therein lies the rub - no matter how much you love your employer, if they stop paying you on time and you've got a mortgage to pay and a baby to take care of, you're going to become very pragmatic very quickly. Portsmouth is a good move for the lad, club on the up, within commuting distance. I ...

Pete O'Rourke stating that a number of Champ and L1 clubs are looking at Knibbs - doesn't mention a single one mind. Of course they are, he's a good player. It's a nothing rumour until they start being name and bids start coming in. How long is he under contract for? Longer than Holmes, Abbey and M...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

Most L1 and L2 clubs don't spend on transfers. But all clubs make signings. Arguably, if you can't spend a penny on transfers, your person in charge of recruitment and scouting is even more important, because they have to do more with nothing. I think this is why Ron Gourlay was 'successful' at Che...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

Injury probe L1 bench warmer ooc in the summer . Can’t imagine many scenarios where we’d get much more than 75k. Shame in some ways, local lad etc, but prob best for all concerned Saw we sold some youth kid to Soton as well This. We're lucky to get anything for him and it's probably more important ...

Looks like plenty of tickets remain in the home ends - around 1050. I wouldn't recommend any Reading fan going in the home end though.

Currently either £23 or £69 So say we have 2k kids season tickets, 1k at each - it’s about 90k for one year Expect it costs that in additional catering, security costs etc for those 2k Tbh you could basically give them away for free It's likely less than 1k kids season tickets, but that doesn't inc...

May we see Luca Fletcher play for City potentially? Is he a regular in their academy side at the moment? Wouldn't be surprised to see him. TransferMarkt has him down as featuring five times for Man City's in the U18 Premier League this season (he's still only sixteen). That doesn't include the most...

does the club use facial recognition cctv? just don't see how they could police a lifetime ban its not like all the stewards carry a book of photos of Reading's 'most wanted'. just grow a beard go in a different entrance sit in a different seat. maybe LWJ can flesh this out a bit for us? Re: Rival Watch

Anyone seen Carlisle's solitary goal against Bolton? Referee had an absolute shocked. Ball goes out of play, 10 yards from half way line, attacker picks up a spare multi ball down towards corner flag, cross and scored. Just dont know how he allowed that to happen. Not good. Fortunately had no impac...
