I liked the old blue and yellow hoops, and at least we'll have a third kit in place so we won't have the problems we did at Brighton and Wigan in '93.

I'm pretty sure that was tongue in cheek. However, if he really was denied entry then it is surely yet another example of poor stewarding. I've met supporters from loads of clubs who have met this guy, and know some Pompey fans who know him quite well. All, without exception say he's a top bloke an...

I'd also like to see some clear way (laser pointer?) of denoting where freekicks and throw ins should be taken from and show a 10 yard encroachment line for defenders. How about this technology as used in the Brazilian League:- "While watching Brazilian league football, it appeared that once t...

There is a "debate" going on on 5 Live at this moment. I haven't said anything about a return to terracing yet - mostly because I don't really care and wouldn't stand anyway - but the guy they have on "defending" the idea - some Liberal MP - is oxf*rd hopeless. His argument is pu...

Dirk Gently Not saying this is the holdup, just that there is now a lot more paperwork to be done before a transfer is confirmed.
He'll need international clearance as well, not sure how complex that is or how long it takes.

If its the beeb it will be the first time we have ever been live on national terestrial telly. Are you sure??? I'm fairly sure the 95 playoff semi away at Tranmere and the final were both on terestrial. Not on the BBC though. ITV. It's still Terestrial TV. If you're going to be a pedant, at ...

T.R.O.L.I. Interesting to look at the supposed amounts - the Cork Echo have it down as €300K (£215K) whereas the EP has it as £300K.

That'll be Nick Ive being incompetent.

At 16 Dowie was rejected by Southampton and went to the University of Hertfordshire to study for a Master's Degree in engineering. Being practically in tears for the Welling debacle which went to a mouth watering 3rd Replay. Shorey's swinging free-kicks and corners led to three goals, and he also set up a fourth with a stirring slalom run through the flimsy West Ham cover. Not bad for £75,000 from Leyton Orient. WRONG it was £25,000! I thought the telegraph was a bit better than that! £25K per year for four y...

Re: What the papers say: Chelsea

Far Canal Referee Alan Wiley had a discussion with Ingimarsson after the Iceland defender reacted outrageously to an irritated jab in the stomach from Drogba.
So punching someone in the stomach is not outrageous behaviour in itself, or am I missing something?

Does seem a rather biased report.

You can get direct trains from Liverpool to Reading. Not on 23rd December. She'd need to change somewhere in the midlands. Cheapest available is two singles; a "Value advance single B" coming down, and a "Value advance single C" going back, works out to £20.75 (assuming YP rail...
