Re: Basic bus question

If there’s a few of you, it’s more economical to get a taxi at 2:40pm and blag a free bus ride post-match.

Re: Hillsborough Docudrama

I don't think you'll find many Everton fans that actually hate Liverpool. It's one of the better rivalry relationships in the game. Absolute rubbish. There is an huge amount of animosity between the red and blue supporters of the City. Yes there’s still a certain mingling of fans during the Derby, ...

Re: Hillsborough Docudrama

David Conn (who has already uncovered a lot about this) writes about the Polic cover up : http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/apr/13/hillsborough-disaster-police-south-yorkshire-liverpool ..... In a dusty library at the far end of the Houses of Parliament, among 10 boxes of documents relating t...

Re: Brendan Rogers Please

IIRC Watford are still absolutely strapped for cash. We therefore could enter into a legitimate deal with them to buy the services of Brendan Rodgers. Rumours suggest they'd quite happily take the compensation money from us for Brendan Rodgers. They're rather keen on Dennis Wise returning to manage...

Over 9000 renewals is bloody impressive. Let's hope our faith is rewarded.

Shortest away trip, friendly at Arborfield Garrison.

Re: Furthest you've travelled to watch RFC

Winchester Royal Sunderland, because we had to go to Newcastle, and then get the metro down to The Stadium of Light.

Snap.

Similarly flown to Newcastle and then got the train down to Middlesbrough. Furthest day-trip probably Blackburn.

Hoop Blah I seem to recall that last time we got promoted the players only got a 15k or 50k bonus (can't remember which) and they were up in arms about it.

Harper still is.

Re: Season Ticket Prices for next season

Another poor show against Ipswich and perhaps the deal doesn't look anywhere near as attractive. It would still look as attractive to me. It's either 19 games for £425 in the Prem or 23 games for £425 in the Championship. I'm not fussed which it is. Let's be honest, you did meet your wife in The Th...

Re: Charlton - Back From The Game...

Thought Marek was poor tonight. He just looks lost in a 4-4-2. The problem with Coppell's favoured formation is that we haven't got a pair of CM players who work as a team, dominate the opposition and join up with the front two. When S Hunt's on his game he fills that gap, at the moment he's better ...

Re: Sheffield Wednesday prediction thread

I reckon we'll score 2 goals in the first twenty minutes of the game and look completely in control of the game - so much so that large swathes of the Wednesday support decide to oxf*rd off home. Then in the second half Wednesday come out flying and stick 3 past us with virtually no resistance show...

Re: Where i feel its going wrong!

Yep. I can understand it if we're trying to control possession but thats not how we play. Highlights for me the inbalance in the styles of our available forwards. We simply don't have one capable of playing with his back to goal and helping us retain possession and build. To me the worrying part is...

Re: Adam Federici: Is He Good Enough?

That's the conundrum. Marcus is the better all-round keeper, but his distribution has worsened over the years. Fed's a more instinctive shotsaver and catalyst for quick counter attacking football. Neither control, let alone, dominate the box. And that's something that should be coachable. The buck ...

Can only think that S Hunt has a 'cannot-be-dropped-no-matter-what' clause in his new contract.

Re: Adam Federici: Is He Good Enough?

I really, really like Federici. His distribution is second to none. But I do wish he'd learn to command his box more. It was a trait we suffered from with Marcus and we're going down the same road with Fed. Taxi for Sal Bibbo?

Re: Back from the forest game

We just need people that can actually cross the ball and, Heaven forbid Shunty, actually beat a man! Hunt's never been the sort of player to glide past an opponent, his one tactic of late, seems to consist of pretending they're invisible and playing the ball through their legs. Doesn't work. Very o...
