koran Nicky Shorey, by contrast, appeared top of The Observer's list of 'Sloppy Play' with 359 misplaced passes.

That can't be right. If it's just this season, it's 18 a game or one every five minutes. Even if you include crosses where a defender heads away, it's just impossible.

As an aside, Jacqui Oatley :x Agreed, it just doesn't sound natural... After she was the "first ever female commentator" sometime last year I swear she was dropped for quite a while... She was crap then, she's crap now and I can't imagine her being anything other than crap in the future. ...

Apart from the incorrect defensive switch, they also have the formation wrong as this was the period when Forster played alone up-front, either in a fluid 4-5-1 or a 4-4-1-1. Checking back, I recorded the Preston game as strarting off as 4-4-1-1 with Chadwick as the right winger and Little playing b...

Simon Church - Wales Under-21

According to http://www.dragonsoccer.co.uk/news/u21.php Simon Church came on as a subsitute after 76 minutes in the Wales Under-21 game in Sweden tonight for his first international appearance. Mind you the site also says that Wales won so I'm not sure how trustworthy a site it can be these days.

People have sung endless variations - popular favourites in the past have included 'Salami' and 'Ferrari' And of course "Bob Marley", after a Reading fan with dreadlocks walked past in the middle of a rendition. But the important point here is that URZZZZZZZZZ obviously doesn't know that....

The comment from Cech that made me laugh was something like "Hunt didn't even write to me. All I got from him was a letter that he'd signed."

So did he write, or not?

floyd__streete Even Alan Green - a neutral radio commentator - described one or two of the multitude of United free kicks on the edge of our box as being very generous decisions.

When has Alan Green ever been a neutral at a Manchester United game?

OK, I really don't know why I'm bothering to argue with someone who quite clearly can't read but I'm going to have one last attempt. 1. Width of Withdean pitch I was not basing my earlier statement on the panorama photo, but on my previous visit (as was clear if you had bothered to read it). I have ...

Methinks you ought to check out the truth. Withdean's pitch is Pitch Size: 110 x 75 yards which is 100.58 x 68.58metres Withdean's pitch is nowhere near 75 yards wide and only a fool could possibly attend there even once and believe that it is. For evidence, look at the hash marks 10 yards from the...

There must be some pitches as tight as the Withdean in the Prem. Withdean's pitch is illegally narrow (i.e. less than Football League minimum width, although not less than the width stated in the laws of the game), so no there won't be any like it at proper football grounds. The Football League tol...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/southerncounties/ Click on the Listen Live button, and the Saturday afternoon sports programme is coming live from [what passes as] the ground, but it's not live commentary. Old article about John Madejski

This really ought to be a repost, but as the mesageboard wasn't here in 1992 I'm going to take a risk. Found this article on a database site I've just gained access to. Last sentence is intriguing. ************************ Madejski's happiest score. (John Madejski of Hurst Publishing) Management Tod...
