Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (h)

royalp-we No Plan B. That’s the problem.

We just swap players like for like. Need to find another system should we struggle to put teams to the sword.

Without Swift and Meite;Pauno had nowhere to go.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h)

Just seen the goals;all three were very preventable. First: Laurent s lack of mobility, meant Dasilva just ran past him.Should Rafa have saved from such a tight angle ? Second : Richards flapped on the cross. If he had jumped he would have put the Brentford player off. It would be very harsh to blame ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a)

Do we start Meite for his physicality or bring him on in the second half after they are a bit tired? Heaven knows they have to foul Ejaria, Olise and Swift to stop them when they really get going around the box. Could be smart to bet on wearing them down before bringing on Meote who is, by far, our...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a)

Coppells Lost Coat I am not saying that should happen. i think Yaidom needs some more minutes and prefer to keep Holmes on for a more physical presence.

Re: Post Brexit transfer market

Go back to the old days;with jumpers for goal posts.Brown ,hobnail boots, brylcream, leather laced footballs and trainers wearing roll top jumpers running on with buckets of ice cold water.Players with names like Hardcastle,Wrigglesworth and Spoffoth.A decent Scottish football team.

Deadline Day

Never known such a damp squid of a deadline day.We did zero business ?I can understand why, with FFP.We still have no real cover for Omah;however with Yids coming back last week,RB now looks solid.Even the big boys, did next to nothing.Don’t know why Sky Sports News bothered really.

Re: Veljko Paunović - Whelmgauge

The Chinese Owners are hell bent on promotion.I suspect Velcro may well get the push,if we do not reach the Play Offs as a bare minimum. This would be very unfair on him,as he has worked wonders with a squad that has under performance for several years. Next season looks a bit iffy given FFP and a su...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h)

The performances have got steadily worse over the Play Offs;the FA semi we were actually very close to getting through. If only that last chance had fallen to John Mackie rather than the immobile Pog. Trying to remember who actually played in the truly dreadful Huddersfield game (the most boring gam...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h)

Hard to drop anyone. I think I'd be content enough with Holmes to ease Yiadom back in with another 15-30 minutes from the bench. He'll obviously end up back in the first XI if he stays fit, but no need to rush it. If it weren't for Ejaria and Olise both taking a knock, I'd say the same for Meite, e...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h)

As we don't do BFTG anymore, here some marks. Raphael 8, wasn`t overly tested but a couple of decent 2nd half saves. Holmes 8, Was always going to be a challenge dealing with Danjuma but after the first 10 minutes dealt with him well, and that double block in the 2nd half :D Morrison 8, stand out p...

There are three really good teams in the League this season.Bournemouth,Norwich and Watford. The Bees are capable and on their day can really play.Bar us the rest of the League are Atypical Chump teams.Very direct, very physical and comfortable playing to the ref with professional fouls. We are a bit ...

Re: January window

Don’t know if anyone has mentioned this but Osho has been sent on loan to the Boondocks.Should have tried harder to keep him,far better than Holmes or Estevez.A RB is now a priority signing;I worry Yids has a serious problem and neither Holmes or Estevez fit the bill, while Watson appears to be on hi...

Victor Moses for Palace (?) beat us on his own that night.I was very impressed with Mata for Chelsea;however I think we scraped a draw that night.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

Yep a bit odd from Vic. Loads of fouls with many of them cynical. Ledson was a very very lucky boy. I think you are getting a bit soft in your old age Zip. IIRC the medical staff didn't get on the pitch for either side -that's usually a reasonable guide as to whether it has been a particular...
