Re: BF I follow Barnsley

A truly woeful, awful win,. The first half not a shot on target, gifted two really dubious reds especially the second. Cabral - 7 one good save kept us in, but poor distribution. Araruna - 5 sloppy. Morrison - 6 better but a bit slow. Moore - 5 not good enough. Richards - 4 wont be here long. Rinom...

Re: BF I follow Barnsley

That’s the sort of win that successful teams deliver - not at our best, but were patient, managed game well and ruthless enough when needed. Barnsley have got a very good recent record and will do ok this season. Swift worries me a bit as two weaker games, but we can’t expect all our creative fires ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h) sponsored by a trip down t'pit

This is one of the worst first halves I've ever seen in terms of opinions in a match thread. You idiots being negative need to stop trying to appease Ian, he isn't someone you need to listen to. The fact is he is an utter disgrace and has been deeply offensive to the manager since he took over. He ...

Stranded Well, that red card is a massive gift.

Yep, incredibly harsh. Not convinced it was a foul and not convinced it was a clear goal scoring opportunity

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h) sponsored by a trip down t'pit

I think today is massive - if this team is to be successful this year it need to be able to annihilate opponents like Barnsley at home. A great opportunity to break the home hoodoo of last season and set the tone with a 3-0/4-0/5-1 type victory. A poor performance and we may struggle to build moment...

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

As Reading are yet again overlooked for live coverage, can anyone remind me when was the last time we were actually picked for TV? They’ll be rushing to sign us up for lots of games when we are top of the league in October. By that point the honeymoon period will be over and we will be dreadful in ...

Re: Successful Chaos

Little off-topic but I do wonder why we are so excellent off the pitch in certain areas despite the chaos in the playing part of the club. Season ticket prices, how we’ve dealt with last season and recently the launch for this season, local food suppliers etc. A lot of innovation, valuing long term ...

Has anyone received details yet on how to allocate their credit from last season against the cost of the retainer?

Successful Chaos

Undoubtedly it has been a very unusual pre-season and I’m not overly happy with the manner in which Bowen was removed (albeit his entrance was equally shady), however there is part of me that is excited by the chaos. I feel we have as good a first XI as any other team in this division - and Saturday...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Dean Morgan

Neutral reporter on Sky said that we weren't threatening at all. Bang goes the theory that youngsters and fringe players will give their all to put forward their case for first team consideration. A wasted opportunity to get some TV money from the next round at a time when money is supposedly in ve...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Dean Morgan

I'm sorry but what the oxf*rd was the point of that? Don't play players that aren't going to be challenging for a 1st team spot, throw in a few youngsters that are on the cusp but there were so many who just weren't up to the needed quality and why not have some of the 1st team players on the bench...

Can I suggest we keep it as a rolling Top 5? Think it will be a bit unwieldy otherwise.

Re: Derby v Reading - - - Match 2 2020-2021 Prediction League

It’s funny how the majority of the forum post about how much strife the club is in and what a disaster the season will be, and then when it comes to predictions our blind optimism for a tough away game comes through!

royalp-we It’s not gonna happen. Need assurances that others can leave first

Which I totally agree with, we don’t need 7 strikers

Why do others have to leave? We have no financial constraints

Dellor was hinting we are about to be hit with a points deduction. Anyone know more about this?
