Re: Newcastle Predictions

2-1 away win. 1-0 HT, Guthrie midway in the second half before Pog trips on a snowflake deep into stoppage time and Harte bangs in the free-kick. Pardew explodes. Our record against Pardew managed teams must be pretty decent, I can only think of losing once (the Matt Etherington show) but there actu...

Shades of Bristol City away last season. It was possibly our worst performance of the season but the win kick-started it all

Re: Spurs (A) predictions.

Spurs are at their best attacking on the break, hence their impressive away from. Much like the Swansea game we will sit back giving them little space to outpace our defense and try to nick a goal from a rare attack, most probably a set piece.

0-0

Re: Reading vs. West Ham Match Thread Sponsored By Kebe's So

That is why Harte is in the team, booked but prevents the break. Everyone does that in this league yet we haven't done enough of it

Re: Villa match thread, sponsored by Ron Atkinson

Shame again to have a point nicked from us although different circumstances. Draw would have been fair but we look seriously toothless against any team sitting back, even Villa's injured kiddies.

Re: Villa match thread, sponsored by Ron Atkinson

Maps style of defending is quite gung-ho, he seems to commit a lot which is quite risky although working so far...

We just need a bit of luck, it to drop for us (and not be dropping behind ALF).

ALF to score from his next sniff of goal.

Re: Villa Prediction Thread

There is also a cup loss in there, the round after beating West Ham on pens (Viveash scoring the winning one).

1-0 to a Dion Dublin toe poke if memory serves me right.

Anywayz 2-1 away win

Roberts, HRK, then Bent with a late consolation off the bench.

Re: Wigan (a) match thread sponsored by northern soul foreve

I think Feds could have done better with the winner. Same power and height as the one Al-Habsi saved from ALF but a lot more time to react. He hasn't exactly put it in the corner.
