Re: Reading FC team of the decade

What a depressing thread seeing the teams submitted with hardly a decent player amongst them when compared with the previous decade-Gylfi of course is the exception.

Re: BFTT Leeds

One final thing, Chris Gunter. I thought he played defensively much better than we have come to expect and generally had a good game. Unfortunately for their goal it was an unchallenged header for little Harrison, Gunter's man, and although it was a swift and efficient break on their part we did ac...

Re: BFTT Leeds

I thought it was a masterclass (again) from Hernandez in an outstanding midfield display where he and his fellow midfielders were allowed too much time. Overall though it is where we are at-a reasonable hard-working Championship side, a skilful midfield but a hopeless set of forwards. Bowen was hone...

Phil Jones :D :D :D
To think, he used to be England's centre-back.

Re: VAR

 Oh very dear. City goal VAR’d when the defenders arm, including a gloved hand are very clearly playing Sterling onside. Wouldn’t be surprised if the VAR thought that the defenders arm doesn’t count because you can’t score with it  At least it didn’t matter Utterly farcical isn’t it. Li...

Re: THE BETTING THREAD

86th minute at rotherham, 91st minute at Peterborough and 92nd minute at Stoke wins me a 16/1 4 game acca. Blimey  Although I miss it when not going to a game on a Saturday I have to say there is quite some excitement when this sort of thing happens, especially late on in a game. If you have h...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Great-Johnson on the front pages and Mourinho on the back pages again. A bit of a surprise as Poch has been the pundits' and media darling for some time and he seemed unsackable. Will be interesting to see how much money the club spends in January as , ever since his time in Portugal, he has been th...

Have been trying to think of any players that might come close to his record and the only one that comes to mind is Grant Holt.

Re: England - the future....

How anonymous was Mason Mount last night by the way? People bang on about Barkley not deserving a place in the side, but if Mount is the alternative I don't see how anyone could make an argument for Mount based on his England appearances to date. He's obviously still young and inexperienced, and is...

Re: England - the future....

Foden should be ahead of all the aforementioned young midfielders. Still too early for Foden. Next season, when he replaces David Silva , we will see whether he is up to it. Only because he’s not getting game time. If he was at Chelsea he’d be playing and probably be a starter for England I suspect...

Re: England - the future....

Surely it is good for the players to resolve differences though? From the Sterling statement it would appear that they had words and then left it alone. I can only think there is a bit more to this i.e something physical happened that Sterling instigated, this would probably warrant being dropped. ...

Re: England - the future....

It seems Sterling has gone off on one and grabbed Gomez by the throat in a confrontation in the canteen as a spill over from their on-pitch tussle on Sunday. Sterling has been dropped for the next game as a result. Just when the squad was seemingly quite settled with a good atmosphere! Talk of him ...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

One other thing-Sterling. In recent days there has been talk of him going to Real Madrid, earning something like £500,000 per week and now being almost up there with Messi and Ronaldo in ability. Really? I know yesterday was a difficult game for him but considering he had a lot of the ball, especia...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

The scousers have been lucky with injuries and decisions. A full strength City side would probably have one that. The back up defenders for City are not as good. Stones for example was and is, dreadful. Lucky with injuries? They've had their £50m+ goalkeeper out inured for half the season so far an...
