Re: Catering at the Madejski

I believe this is to stop bottles with tops on being used as weopons its nothing to do wiith weapons its a health and safety issue without the lid it will collapse if trod on with the lid on it will roll causing the person standing on it to fall and infure themselves Why don't they explain this the...

Re: NO LONGER A RUMOUR: Jimmy Kebe SIGNS

A special thanks to the President of Boulogne for his co-operation, which enabled the deal to happen, I see.

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

Royal Rother And if they don't they've jerked off another £10 million.... (or whatever)

Only it's extremely unlikely that the players they have invested £10M in will become worthless over night!

They might make a loss on the dealings (if they have to launch a fire sale)but it won't be £10M.

Re: Coppell's latest backtrack

Answer me this. If the club are being deliberately tight with their money, why didn't they bite off Roy Keanes arm when he was begging them to accept £5m for Stephen Hunt? Transfer window isn't shut yet! We let our only fit specialist right winger leaver at the 11th hour last time around! Why do pe...

Re: Coppell's latest backtrack

Strange, only a few days ago I was 'defending' this forum suggesting that self-policing was generally working and that overall the level of debate was still pretty good. However, seeing all the personal insults no being traded (they don't even deserve to be called 'the lowest form of debate') I'm b...

Re: Villa Match moved

Hmm, I know it easier for Villa to offer refunds as their fans are only small in number for this game but I wonder if RFC could not have done the same. Oh and Sunday at 12:30pm is shit, where the oxf*rd am I meant to go for a pre-match pint now? Interesting isn't it that if this was a concert promo...

Re: Coppell's latest backtrack

Coppell is turning into an obsessive gambler. Gambling on Little's fitness (twice). Gambling on Oster's fitness (twice). Gambling on Duberry's fitness. Now gambling that Cameroon and Senegal get knocked out of the ACON early so that we get two central defenders back to enable our watertight defence ...

Re: Villa Match moved

Effing barsteward Murdoch and co. That's another match this season myself and the kids are going to have to miss. Both play football on Sundays (it's not like two keepers can suddenly go missing from their teams) and thanks to the damn 12.30pm kickoff both will have to miss this game in order not to...

Re: Coppell's latest backtrack

God you lot are worst than my wife always wanting to spend spend spend. Whats wrong with saving a bit of money ? I do not want to see a load of rash signing who would unbalance the team and upset the status quo. As for not paying wages I totally agree, the day RFC start paying 40k a week is the day...

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

Wycombe Royal I thought he was more of a defender? Don't we already have enough defenders that can play midfield and vice-versa.

Yes, we've got plenty of jack of all trades but how many masters in either position?!

Re: Coppell's latest backtrack

Can`t be ar##d to mread the whole 8 pages of probable moaning but as someone must have said, you can`t make players sign for us if they don`t want to. We hardly have the most glamorous set-up and history in the Prem do we ? Also re: Centre-halves. Sonko, Ingi, Duberry, Bikey, Pearce, possibly Cisse...

Re: Coppell's latest backtrack

... we are buying a right winger arent we? oh, you just arent happy with him despite not seeing him play as the coaching scouting staff have? You sure they will have seen him play 'live' or will it be TV and DVDs? The latter, of course saves money. Why aren't we happy? Because one moment Cop...

Re: Coppell's latest backtrack

Do all you pretend managers complain vehemently on an internet forum about Sainsbury's board's decisions? If they do not stock the product you want? Why not? Wake up and realise the club is not yours to run, you have about as much say in the running of the club as you do in Sainsbury's If you don't...

Re: Coppell's latest backtrack

Absolutely incredible but at the same time sadly no real surprise from RFC. And please guys, stop saying they tried their best and failed. Even if that is true then their best clearly isn't good enough for this league. This is one almighty gamble they are taking and they had better damn well get it ...

Re: Attendance v Man U

Interesting to note that the PA team did not announce it as a new attendance record in-front of the ManU fans! It doubt there was any thought put into it. They don't usually have any problem when it comes to making a laughing stock of us. Now if only we still had the great JR (he of FSB fame)...

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

24th January and still nothing has been done about the right wing problem TICK TOCK I really hope we're not going to see a repeat of the ridiculous transfer antics that we saw just before the closure of the last window. We need a top class specialist right winger now - whatever that takes to achiev...

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

I suspect you are spot on! Isn't it amazing how easy it is to protect your longer term interests, and avoid the nightmare scenario, if you negotiate and draw up the contracts carefully! And of course it might just be that very clause and King's refusal to sign it that is holding up the deal - as it...

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

Fulham are really going for it again - how will they cope if they do get relegated? They'll end up with a massive wage bill won't they and lots of players they don't need ... ? I doubt that the players they're bringing in are on massive wages. Watford seem to have survived paying Marlon King up til...
