I just hope we will all give him a good clap on Saturday. Bollox to that. I am not usually churlish enough to give returning ex-players stick, in fact I usually tend to prefer ex-players to our current crop and I am first to put my hands together and applaud them. Rosenior, however, was absolute po...
I just hope we will all give him a good clap on Saturday.
It was clearly not his choice to leave and we just made him go to cut costs - all clearly set out in the EP article. I think he really wanted to stay with Reading.
After that, however, I hope he falls over a lot and we score 10.
I like Cox but he has no pedigree at this level at which Church has more goals than him. A loan for him would be too high risk a strategy so no wonder BR has ruled it out.
If we get a striker in it has to be someone with a track record or perhaps a PL highly rated youngster.
The only change I would make to the team against Leicester is to bring in Karacan for Howard. Karacan has been excellent whenever he plays and can give Matejovsky the support he needs.
Do you seriously believe what you've just posted? Have you ever seriously looked at the figures for income and expediture levels between PL and CCC? Average wages levels alone are on a multiplier of approximately 3.5. BTW, Hull City's accountants this week have warned that their uncertain financial...
It does not take a genius to work out that BR has made mistakes and I am sure that if he were able to start the seaosn from scratch again he would do things differently. I think he genuinely thought the players we had left were better than has proved to be the case. Indeed so did I. Some of our play...
We have just come of a run of playing 6 top half teams in a row: One of the reasons they're in the top half of the table is that they've played us in their early games.[/quo              Even if we had beaten WBA, Boro, L...
We've turned a corner - the least convincing corner-turning since Ayrton Senna at Imola in 1994. My current location sums the situation up with more accuracy than you ever could, andrew. However hard I try I just cannot stop myself being relentlessly positive. Is that such a bad thing? I still thin...
I have to say I am feeling renewed optimism after the better performance on Monday. We have just come of a run of playing 6 top half teams in a row: Watford currently 11th Preston 9th Boro 4th WBA 3rd QPR 7th Leicester 5th In the next 6 we play Coventry 15th Ipswich 24th Blackpool 8th (but poor away...
I think your idea might have been more relevant before Monday's game or maybe if we lose to Coventry and don't beat Ipswich. For the moment there does appear to be a new groundswell of support for the manager and the players because of the effort put in on Monday despite the fact that we lost yet a...
^ Andrew my post is primarily factually based. This is our worst start since 1931. This is also our worst run at home in our entire history...and by miles. ... Its time for change. By now I hope everyone knows I have my hed firmly up Coppell's a*se. But even I have to be fair and point out - much a...
Leicester will be fine this season, look a strong side. ALOL - the worst side to visit the madejski this season and you call them strong? When was the last time an away side let us have 5/6 CLEAR cut chances? Poor comments. Have you looked at the league table. Leicester are a good side made to look...
^ Andrew my post is primarily factually based. This is our worst start since 1931. This is also our worst run at home in our entire history...and by miles. As I said in that post we did play well but ultimately we lost again and hand on heart did you really think we would get back in the game after...
People being harsh about Rasiak tonight. I thought he held the ball up better than any other time I have seen him. He is very slow but does have some skill and made chances and nearly scored. As for Church I think he just needs games. I hope BR perseveres with both of them.
I'd say it was shocking finishing that let us down. No chance had with the goal. Only criticism you can make is having no one on the far post, but Tabb did have a player to mark so no blame for him. No chance for Fed and Sigs man had to get that exactly right to score. Most improvement and best per...
Right I'm actually feeling strangely positive after that. It may have something to do with winning money at the bookies (£6 profit), or it may be because that was probably the best I've seen Reading play all season. Not that that is saying a great deal. Generally we played well, had the better poss...
I was a great supporter of Steve Coppell, but by the end of his time here he was clearly drained and had nothing left to give. The team was in free fall when you look at results after January. Clearly a great deal of change was needed going forwards and Rodgers promised that. Most of us thought he ...
I still have this strange feeling that he will still turn it round and win the fans over by the end of the season. I have no rationale for this as he has seemed to make countless mistakes so far. It is probably just my RTG glasses getting steamed up, but maybe a win Monday will make us all feel a lo...
