Re: New manager poll

If we're rebuilding in league 1 I'd happily get Nigel Adkins back to develop a more attractive style without the pressure of his previous reign. I'd rather someone with a positive, extensive, record (who isn't a Tuesday like Jones or Robinson), than a former player with no experience. Ideally someon...

Re: CONFIMRED - Paul Ince sacked

If not for karbota I think Parkinson WOULD actually be in our minds as a potential replacement. Low bar but I’m extremely confident, nay, absolutely certain, he’d have done a better job than Ince this season and I don’t think his name should be dismissed. Having watched how he set up his hugely exp...

Re: New manager poll

Would rather Morrison coming back as a young manager than any on that list excluding AP / Judas.

Our appointments in recent years have been awful, so not holding out much hope. Jones is a grade A bell, like a young Warnock, so maybe him!

Re: CONFIMRED - Paul Ince sacked

I feel for the man, he's done exactly what was required of him nut has been let down by our ast mismanagement and a frankly awful run of injuries. This said his nonsensical interviews and the dire performances mean that this is for the best. Fingers crossed Noel can inject some positivity and get so...

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

Look forward to administration and being relegated to league two Reckon this is a solid 50/50 if we’re relegated You should be able to brilliant odds on that, let's see you stake some money on it. You can use your winnings to start a crowdfund to buy the club when it happens. I'll look into it and ...

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

Look forward to administration and being relegated to league two Reckon this is a solid 50/50 if we’re relegated Given that almost all of our debt is to the owner, would there be any point going into administration? We've failed to pay the players on at least two occasions in recent years, the chai...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

We lack so much quality. Cruel to lose it that late but not exactly undeserved as they should have had 3/4 before that. Plenty of effort and desire to try and hang on in there and get something, but we can't play under that sort of pressure and be expecting results. Seems tough to decide where anot...

Re: Olise

We put ourselves into a position with both Olise and Richards where we were under embargo and couldn’t offer contracts (regardless of if they’d have been accepted). It is probably my biggest frustration with the EFL process, as there was opportunity to reduce our debts. However we only have ourselv...

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

Historically there is a massive drop in revenue for clubs in League one, the Athletic did a good piece on Wednesday a few years ago: https://theathletic.com/2434618/2021/03/12/why-relegation-to-league-one-could-cost-sheffield-wednesday-8m/ That is a club which has generally attracted far bigger crow...

Re: Division one things to forward to……..

Lirterally nothing to look forward to in L1, it's a graveyard for big clubs and we'd be back in the EFL's sh!tbooks again for wages. Our academy would be looted by bigger clubs and our owner may well pull out > Administration! I don’t class us as a big club tbh so we might be alright. We're not at ...

Re: Ince out!

I reckon I've reached my tipping point on Ince. I fully agreed with his analysis after the game, I also felt we dropped back after score and lacked intensity - however I wasn't in a position to change it, he was and didn't. I guess that Hunt would need to be the man to come in, I'm not certain what ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h)

Excellent atmosphere yesterday and crowd were behind the team. Just th frustrated boos at the end. That fan shat himself at the end and was seen Scurrying to the toilets at the end of the match. Didn’t quite go to plan for him and well done on Carroll coming over. As for what’s on the pitch, it’s j...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h)

Thought we were ok today, but in the context of where we are that isn't enough. In the first half Mbengue kept getting isolated against Khadra, with both centre backs being static for their goal. The ref was poor throughout his 70 minute performance. Casadei looked very effective. Gripes: why do non...

Re: Another 6 point, points deduction incoming

Selling Puscas probably seemed certain at the time the plan was formulated. Pisa were playing very well and seemed certain to go up.

Moore was injured during his spell at Stoke and that probably killed that opportunity.

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Thought Grace was as ok, defensive shape was poor in the first half - we kept leaving 2 on 1 on the back post (leading to both goals). Evans, who whenever I’ve seen her before has been superb, looked utterly lost today. Harries was a real threat for the first 15 minutes she was on but the looked blo...
