Re: Black History Month, Favourite Black Reading Player.

harry Leroy Lita for the winner v 'Boro & the overhead v Palace?

No, because he was a c**t of a man. Wouldn't even make it near my top 20.

Re: The Southbank sit down protest

Wasn't there a pitch invasion at home to Palace after losing 6-1 around 97? SJM Said something like he would not bow down to mob culture? There was one after the Palace 6-1 defeat but the words you refer to came after the 3-0 defeat to Port Vale 18 months later. "I will not bow to mob rule&quo...

Re: Are The Youngsters Being Frozen Out?

P!ssed off, judging by the Telegraph's latest revelations this week. It looks like you are right about all the corruption and how it drives transfer dealings. I hope Stam is signing players in the best interests of the club and not to line his pockets. I'm sure he is. I trust Stam. But, it does mak...

Re: Away fans that surprised you

To be fair, there was that Mackem at Elm Park who leapt over the fence and "scored" when our keeper was taking a goal kick, when they were 4-0 down. "4-1 to the blue and whites". well, I thought it was funny. You probably had to be there. Plenty of chuckles on the South Bank tha...

Re: Away fans that surprised you

Always found Sunderland fans hugely disappointing both home and away, just so quick to let their heads drop. To be fair, there was that Mackem at Elm Park who leapt over the fence and "scored" when our keeper was taking a goal kick, when they were 4-0 down. "4-1 to the blue and white...

Re: BFTG - 'uddersfield

Afternoon. Town fan here. Thought it was a good game yesterday. Pretty even for 20 minutes before the red card. Daft from VLP but poor from the ref - he was away and pulled down so definitely deserved a booking. No idea what he said but Wells clearly heard and thought he was out of order. You then ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

We have played BHA loads and loads of times over the past 15 (?) seasons, often challenging with each other for promotion/play-offs. Familiarity breeds contempt. There are only four teams that we have played on more occasions in the league than Brighton:- Bournemouth (104) Watford (100) Millwall (9...

Re: BFTG Birmingham

I also agree with regard to the shaping of the team and playing style parallels with McGhee c 1992 season. That 92-93 season, and in particular the second half of it, was the one where I started to dare to dream that our little provincial club could do more than aspire to be Division 3 cloggers for...

Re: The Debt

Madejski didn't cover the black holes. He loaned the club money, at a zero interest rate, and he received every penny back as well. Corrected for you. I think the proof of what is happening at the club will be borne out by the annual accounts which for season 15/16 will be due around December/Janua...

Re: BFTG - Ipswich home

Regarding Samuel, Stam has suggested that some of the youngsters found it difficult to adapt and improve during pre-season, which is why we have seen the likes of Fosu, Tanner, Stacey etc not being a part of the first team. He also said quite openly that he watched the U23's at the Gas and Samuel di...

Re: Cardiff (A)

Our away support is so so poor. £20 - just down the road & bank holiday weekend and we can't even get 1,000 going. Shocking IMO I can imagine schoolkids and insecure middleagers getting riled, but frankly who else gives enough of a shit to be embarrassed by a football club's away turnouts? Well...

Re: Brighton and Reading fans............

Opening day 2004/05, 3-2 win. They'd just been promoted and got p*ssy with us because of the size of the South Stand. And then they only brought 3k.

Seem to remember an evening game in 02/03 where they brought less than 1k as well.

Nameless
LUX someone posted a few weeks back that he was at the same Chinese club where Pelle had gone and was earning £100k a week.

His brother posted that.

It wasn't true.....

Isn't his brother also his agent?

Oilroyal North stand - Kermocunt scores. Should be serving a ban.

Living on the south coast this comment makes our win and today's scorer win even sweater. :D

Might want to refer them to Skalak v Forest before they start bleating some more...

Re: BFTG . Brighton

To me I thought Brighton looked quite ordinary except for Knockaert. Quite a lot of endeavour but very reliant, creatively, on one player. Murray was worse than Kermogant yesterday. Did absolutely no work at all. Hemed looked more lively in 10 minutes than Murray did all game. And why did they take...

Given there are only four clubs that we have played more often in the league, familiarity breeds contempt?

FTR, AFC Bournemouth (104), Watford (100), Swindon and Millwall (both 92) are the four, although Swindon and Millwall will be caught by the end of this season.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

I knew they'd be like this, I mean FFS Brighton supporters really are some of the world's worst one-eyed bleaters. Agreed with sandman. Every supporter is blind to a degree towards their own team, but come on lads, a 5-page thread on a particularly poor tackle when your own no.8 Jiri Skalak shouldn'...

SpaghettiHoop Blatant push on Van Den Berg causing own goal.

I haven't seen it back but from my vantage point in row S of the Eamo I thought he was blatantly pushed as well...I was beginning to think I was the only one to think that :|

that pen did completely change the game though. and was very soft by all accounts. It was hard to tell from the footage I saw on SSN. It just looked like two Reading players and a Newcastle player decided to fall over in the box. This. It is impossible to tell what the referee has seen from Gunter,...

Re: How Do You View Leicester?

They've made themselves a target by having that gold badge on their sleeves, but the real fact of the matter is that the clubs who failed so abysmally last season will be back to their usual selves this season, and with the addition of a renewed vigour at Manchester's United and City you have half a...
