Cheers! We've just signed Chopra from Cardiff for £1.5 million, Ivar, Pearce from Bournemouth, Cresswell from Tranmere, James Coppinger from Donny, and expected to bid for Sharp from Donny again and/or Colace from Barnsley. Have/are you signed/signing anyone yet? This is mostly rumour and speculati...
Very classy effort from Wolves http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/wolves-11-12-burrda-home-football-kit-b.jpg That photographer needs shooting. The black background doesn't work with the black in the kit, and you lose the player. It's OK - He's from the Black Country :D
I have one working member card and one not working on the Wembley system, even though I can log on with both cards on the Reading system. Phoned the club and they say it's a common problem and there is a fault with the Wembley system which is being worked on. Keep trying was the only suggestion.
My favourite front cover is the one of Harps celebrating his goal against Liverpool. It's so good I got him to autograph that one. Woody's cartoons are real quality and the one with Mick Gooding and Tim Dellor is absolutely brilliant. Follow the link given above to find it.
ITV's highlight show on Wednesday night was presented by a rather embarrased looking Matt Smith. "Guess who didn't get the memo about wearing pink shirts!", he said in his introductory remarks. He was sitting there wearing a bright pink number, not too disimilar from the Copenhagen outfit....
As an aside, did anyone spot that our old friend Andy Hughes played for Scunny in the 0-3 defeat to Preston? He got a facial injury and had to go off after 35 minutes. He had stitches in his lip and in his nose. According to Tony Daws, the man placed in temporary charge at Scunny, he phoned him up s...
I have a vast collection of old programmes and can help with the Southampton and West Ham games:- 31/7/99 Reading 0 Southampton 3 ( Le Tissier, Ostenstad (2)), Att 5,780. Referee Rob Harris avoided using his cards by ordering the substitution of Kachloul, Le Tissier and Reading's Keith Scott. Parky ...
Neale Cooper. Was really excited when he joined (c.92?) at the start of the McGhee revolution. Unfortunately I imagined the Neale Cooper of the Ferguson Aberdeen team of the 80s pulling the strings in our midfield. Instead we got some imposter with a ridiculous perm wearing an incredibly small pair...
... and @ Colchester 'our lad' Mooney (he IS still ours isn't he - or have I missed something :? ?) puts out Supermarine 1-0. Yeah he still plays for us. Sometimes I have to remind myself that. http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10306~44553,00.html I was at that game. As welll as Moo...
Result from Scours Lane tonight was Reading Town 5 Marlow United 1.The ref was late turning up and I clocked him walking past me at 7.40pm, kit case in tow, on the way to the changing room. The match didn't get underway until 8pm, although I'm never sure what the official kick-off time is for evenin...
