Re: England - the future....

"Oh wel! I've played in a world cup final and got the medal to prove it"? "I apologise for my derogatory remarks about England. We were beaten today by the better team." What derogatory remarks? Sorry, I can't remember his exact words but he said something to the effect that Eng...

Re: Loader to Bundesliga

This young man has played International football with distinction.

Secure a new contract for him and loan him to an enterprising lower league side. A few Managers would welcome young, fresh, talented blood.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Clement out, Hughes in? What price Jokanovic? Would he want to go straight back into management? He will get a pay off and may want to take a break. In regard to Clement I do feel for him. It seems like he is always one loss away from the sack. It’s not a great way to be managing a club. . Fair com...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Harry Kewell has been sacked by Notts County 10 weeks after being appointed as the League Two club's "long-term solution" as manager. Ridiculous. 14 games. Out of nowhere, Jokanovic OUT at Fulham, and Ranieri IN. Wow Life can be hard in professional football management, can't it? ...

Re: Rival Watch

Hiram K Hackenbacker
Brain Traysers Wednesday really haven't been good all season - they have been picking up points through scoring absolute stunners, which isn't a solid long term strategy.

The tide has turned in recent games and they are very much in the same relegation battle as us

I agree

Good ol' Hiram!

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

then he was frozen out of the u23s on return, so he's not really played over a year and a half now. Torquay had him lined up to come in on trial when fit, but Martin Kuhl has left now. I should know but where has Martin Kuhl gone? Apparently pursuing a coaching role closer to his home - least that ...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Think he has had 2 major knee injuries in 2 years. Sounds very unlucky in the injury front - Shame as certainly had ability I think in hindsight, the loan to Dundee Utd was a mistake as well. He was played out of position in a really poor team and was scapegoated by the fans. then he was frozen out...

2 world wars, 1 world cup Love how we're talking about Barrow like he's some sort of long lost Messiah.

Sounds like he's been a very naughty boy.

Re: If Jokanovic became available

Ascotexgunner I quite liked the idea but I think he would be a gamble. This squad is poor and low on confidence, and needs a much stronger personality. I'm not sure he has impressed me enough during Fulham's woes.

He could bring Sessegnon with him....

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by a plea from Terry Cooper

Few points from this game 1. Walker does not utilise his height from crosses, so poor today with crosses, good few saves though 2. Midfield still needs improving, they don't offer enough defensively 3. Barrow and Baldock both worked hard today but didn't really offer a lot in an attacking sense, fu...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

You’d hope so. U23s up to 3rd again and couple of lads there looking pretty strong Now in my opinion U21/3 teams should be scrapped and replaced with proper old fashioned reserve teams (where perhaps there would have to be, say, at least 5 U21/3s starting) so that youngsters could get a good amount...
