Re: Ex Players

What's Gunnarsson up to these days? He's the Manager at HK Kópavogs in Iceland, gaining some valuable experience before coming home to save us: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/brynjar-gunnarsson/profil/trainer/42740 Eight years at Reading. One of my all-time favourite players. I echo the sentiments!

Re: Speculation: Ricky Lambert

tidus_mi2 A striker's career goes down hill very quickly once you go past 31, the ones who don't rely on pace tend to last a bit longer but will start to decline when they reach mid-30s.

The Lambert of today is nowhere near the standard of striker we need.

Has Keown signed perm for Partick? Edit: just seen on Ssn he has... So we've lost Jules, Stacey, Fosu and now Keown for undisclosed fees plus Hyam, Moore, Tanner and Kuhl all released. Never seen so many high profile youngsters permanently disappear in one window, talk about a clear out! I hope tha...

Re: RUMOUR - Andy Yiadom

What is so often forgotten is that a few teams nullified Gunter's ability to go forward. He needs to sure that he has these options and a pressing side like Huddersfield, for example, might keep a wing back at bay, Who is to say whether Yiadom would be any different. Only time would tell.

Yeah I think the extra games and the exposure from the tournament will do him good and help his confidence He had a long break mid season and I'm hoping he'll be back to last years early season form come August He showed some really good touches in the most recent game and appears to have regained ...

glass half full I have a mantra/superstition.

20 minutes before the start of every game: "I couldn't support any other team."

I do have a soft spot for Shrewsbury.

Good luck to Zak Jules at Shrewsbury. As Shrewsbury are my 'other' team, as stated above, I shall follow Zak's progress with interest.

Royal_jimmy There's nothing appealing about Sunderland away at all except it's within reach of Newcastles nightlife. Sunderland is one of the dullest of the 76/92 grounds I've done. Only MK Dons and Hull are more dull

Re: WHO THINKS THIS IS A LOAD OF BOL...................KS

I am probably remembering incorrectly but wasnt he a bit shite at Derby? No support from the board, I believe. Loyalty has bred loyalty at Burton. I'm just recalling something about the players not liking him and losing to Forest in the cup? Yup. They would, of course, be contributory factors. His ...

Re: WHO THINKS THIS IS A LOAD OF BOL...................KS

Nigel Clough deserves an honourable mention for keeping Burton in the Championship on limited resources. Definitely. Also achieved previously with them by getting them into the league. Not been a slouch at Sheff Utd or Derby either, seems to be consistently reliable wherever he goes and produces te...
