Thanks for all you've done Brian. Nobody could have given more to the club than you have during the past 13 years. You did a fantastic job to get Reading FC into the Premier League, and you leave the club in a much better place than when you took over as manager. You can be proud of that legacy, and will always have that bond with the supporters.

The trouble is that the likes of you and a some others on here take it to serious life is for living not spending every minute of every day worrying about Reading fc, I do not know if you are house bound or have other problems, but i am sure there must be more that life has to offer you in the way of mental reward then sat down typin this crap, get on a bus go and visit a freind (even a cyber one will do ) go job hunting (perhaps take Mcd and his side kick with you).

I'm sad that Brian was sacked with only nine matches to go. Surely it would have made sense to give him the elbow at the beginning of the year as with only nine matches left the new manager will have to be a miracle worker, especially with RFC's fixture list. However, miracles do happen! I've never met Brian but from what I've seen of him in TV interviews he seems a decent, honest chap & that's reflected in a well written article about him in todays Daily Mail. I doubt if many managers could have done what Brian did given his limited resources.
