Richardson made it clear football doesn’t happen quickly enough for certain people. He believes you’ve got to win matches early in your time at a club in order to get the time to implement any longer term changes you want to make.

He's a genius, swapping the dugouts will ensure we will play exciting and winning football, personally, I like us to kick North second half but I'll leave it to king Leam to decide, he knows bestRG30 wrote:They will swap dugouts start of next season but they will continue kicking to the North 1st half, South 2nd. Do you post all your comments from the pub?stealthpapes wrote:Richardson made it clear football doesn’t happen quickly enough for certain people. He believes you’ve got to win matches early in your time at a club in order to get the time to implement any longer term changes you want to make.![]()
Some might describe that as 'people need to be patient'.

An odd comment, one seemingly playing the poster not the post. Especially odd as papes could think you under the table.MR. Thanks for that - really useful and an interesting read. Good answers to all of the questions, and grounds to believe we're heading in the right direction.Clyde1998 wrote:I've put my notes from yesterday's fans' forum here: https://clyde1998.substack.com/publish/post/189772394
I would usually just post this sort of thing directly on here, but the website's stability being patchy means I'd rather people be able to access it somewhere stable.
Have to say, it's was a quality event as a result of how open Richardson was with us. Certainly worth the £5 entry for STAR members and highly recommend for people to attend in the future if they're able to. A big thank you for STAR for putting this on; Greg Double for hosting; and the people at the club for hosting it.

It’s a really good read, thanks Clyde. Very encouraging imo, does seem to see the issues a lot of us seem to in terms of no outlet ball, lack of pace up front etcArmadillo Roadkill wrote:Thanks for that - really useful and an interesting read. We've scored 8 set piece goals, which does include penalties.Hound wrote:Paudie has scored from a couple recently tbfRoyals and Racers wrote:A question doesn’t seem to have been asked and i wonder if stats back up my view that we are extremely poor at goals from set pieces especially corners- we have tall players but never seem to get chances or goals.

Do we need to do the Arsenal strat and crowd the 6 yard box?Snowflake Royal wrote:We've scored 8 set piece goals, which does include penalties.Hound wrote:Paudie has scored from a couple recently tbfRoyals and Racers wrote:A question doesn’t seem to have been asked and i wonder if stats back up my view that we are extremely poor at goals from set pieces especially corners- we have tall players but never seem to get chances or goals.
That has us 22nd in League 1 for set piece goals. However, before anyone gets excited it ranges from 7 to 13 up to the 5th best team, then there's 15, 18, 18 and 20.
The median is 11, so we're only marginally off the pace... having gone about a third of the season without any. So actually we're motoring along nicely on set piece goals since Leam came in.

Given we've started scoring set piece goals, and at a decent rate, I don’t see why we'd want to changetidus_mi2 wrote:Do we need to do the Arsenal strat and crowd the 6 yard box?Snowflake Royal wrote:We've scored 8 set piece goals, which does include penalties.Hound wrote:

Our corners are generally poor in my opinion. Savage and Wing can ping a good ball but we never seem to get any players anywhere near the ball- just to predictable as well.Snowflake Royal wrote:Given we've started scoring set piece goals, and at a decent rate, I don’t see why we'd want to changetidus_mi2 wrote:Do we need to do the Arsenal strat and crowd the 6 yard box?Snowflake Royal wrote: We've scored 8 set piece goals, which does include penalties.

I believe just prior to Hunt being sacked we were the only side in the EFL who hadn't scored from a set piece this season so we've obviously picked up from there.Royals and Racers wrote:Our corners are generally poor in my opinion.
