So Mooney's scoring record against League One or better opposition is poor, but in a League One or better team, his scoring record against League Two opposition or worse is exceptional.

Clearly he's a player we should have given much more playing time to.

There was a rumour a while back that he was on very high wages. Maybe they were appearance/goal related (as might have been the so-called 260,000 Euro transfer.

I recall that's been mentioned before, although I can't think where it came from. Something like he was one of the highest paid players at the club.

That's the only sense I can make of him not getting remotely near to having a chance, and probably a message to agents and players who think they're clever signing contracts with massive appearance related clauses.

He did have exorbitant wages on FM so I think that's qed.

Norfolk Royal
Royal Lady Didn't Mooney bang in a few goals whilst on loan to Norwich? :| They weren't League One.

He scored a few yes, without ever really appearing convincing. Saw one of the games he played in and his goal was a bit of a steal. Agree with League One poacher assessment.

08 (01) 3 Goals = a goal every 2.72 CCC Games Mooney, Norwich, relegation side
12 (11) 4 Goals = a goal every 3.46 CCC Games HUNT, this season
10 (15) 4 Goals = a goal every 3.13 CCC Games Church, this season

Not saying he's the bees-knees but that CCC record stands up against Hunt and Church this season (23 and 25 appearances respectively)

My belief too, but I don't actually KNOW
