Robbie Savage......

by Wycombe Royal » 05 May 2011 09:03

So what send off are you going to give him in his last ever professional football match? Obviously he is hated by most fans of clubs whom he doesn't play for but I think after 631 matches (assuming he plays) he deserves a warm round of applause from us on Saturday.

He is one of those characters that football sorely needs (and another one who will probably now be missed) although I'm not sure he is cut out for radio..........

He'll be the pantomime villain for every minute he is on the pitch but will I'm sure get a good send off when he leaves it.

He's so misunderstood. He's h8ed by people who have a shit sense of humour, and simply don't get his. He says most things tongue in cheek, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Gr8 character in the game.

He's a bit of a pcunter but a solid player who I wouldn't have been devastated to see pull on the hoops. Also he went up massively in my estimation when he went in goals last year.

round of applause me thinks

Yep. Great value last season, for that alone, he'll get a clap from me.

Legend IMO.

Loved watching him wind up Adel Taarabt the other night.

But as others have said during the game im sure he'll get alot of abuse!

Quite an underated player as well.

I expect him to get abused and then appluaded when it's all over.

He did get quite riled a fews back they the 'your shit, and you welsh as well' taunting. I expect that to get a nice airing as well.

He'll get loads of stick during the match, and hopefully clapped off at the end.

I like him.

Whole-hearted player and I LOVED what he did to Taraabt.

For that alone deserves a knighthood.

Applaud him!

Hopefully, Clough will substitute Sav after about 89 minutes so that he can get a rousing reception from the entire stadium. One of those players you love to hate but would love to have in your own team. That would be a fitting departure for him.

Or let him get sent off and receive a round of applause that way, much more fun!

Sadly don't think his game will be as exciting as last years was for him when he went in goal....

Same. Minus the kiss, and the clap, and the liking him bit.

He's alright. The sort of player we'd all have liked in our side. He was a good sport last season when we went in goal too.

Yeah, I think I agree with most on here - I once disliked him, but on the radio he comes across like a pretty good guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. Decent player, too.

Won't be there myself on saturday but I think it would reflect well on us if he got a good send off from the home fans.
