Should be Feds or Andersen

Unfair on Andersen to bring McCarthy back and play him straight away.

Best way would be play Anderson first half, McArthy second half

Lets not forget this is the FA Cup. I'd be suprised if he cup tied both young keepers at the start of January.

Good point. And Arsenal might not want Federici cup-tied either

Would be nice to see Mills + Hal + McCarthy all start, to keep them in touch with the first team, same goes for Alf, though on a lesser degree.

Maybe even throw Manset into the mix

But leave the spine of the team the same, keep them match fit and get a rebound result from the drubbing at Cardiff.

It will be a mixture of youth and first teamers. McDermott needs to keep the squad fit and not risk any injuries:

McCarthy/Anderesen
Mills Morrison Khumalo Cummings
HRK Tabb Ledge Antonio
Obita
Hunt

Subs:
D'ath
Harte
Le Fondre
Church
McAnuff
Arnold
Federici

Fox Talbot Stevenage are no mugs and a bit unpleasant with it. And presumably better than when we edged them last season with just a slighty under-strength team.

Without our strongest team we're in danger of losing this tie. I hope and expect BMD to take the Cup as seriously as he has in previous years.

This. A team doing well in the league, free scoring and will prove this on the pitch. I expect a loss if McDermott doesn't put out the strongest team possible.

Agreed - I expect just a couple of changes at the edges (e.g. HRK, ALF & Tabb for Kebe, Hunt & Karacan).

BMc is a great believer in momentum and confidence, so I doubt he'd change too much. he didn't last time we played them, which ought to be a good indicator.

Even more importantly let's not forget this is a serious game with significant financial implications. Therefore, no manager in his right mind would use up one of his substitutions just to make sure two keepers get a half each!

Good point. I think I still expect a change at goalkeeper because of the talent we have their and the other tweeks you suggest. Maybe not as many changes as I'd originally have said.

I do hope that Obita (if fit) is included and gets a bit of a run out. One of the biggest disappointments for me so far this season is his lack of involvement.

I think McDermott will feel he needs to pay Stevenage a fair amount of respect so won't make too many changes. Complete guess of course but..

McCarthy
Cummings
Pearce
Gorkss
Mills
Kebe
Leigertwood
Tabb
McAnuff
Le Fondre
Hunt
Subs: Federici Griffin/Harte Morrison Karacan D'Ath Obita Antonio Church

I have guessed HRK might be rested to try and shake off his succession of niggling injuries but will be involved somewhere if Kebe has left the building
