Yeh we lack pace up front, we need someone who is in Long's bracket for speed. But we are not going to get someone of his speed and calibre though :(

So Whats Sharp actually like then, cant honestly say ive seen much of him and seeing as i missed the Doncaster game this year cant even go on one 90 minutes. Have had to rely on the 25 seconds highlights on the god awfull football league show and thats about as much use as a peddle-powered wheelchair.

Quick, Strong, Poacher, Holds the ball up etc?

SouthDownsRoyal we dont buy him

I agree. Think we could do better. Genuinely would rather get Maynard & he would cost less. Northern bloke moving down south doesn't always work out well either.

Maynard wont cost less and by all accounts Brendan's signing him ...

Looks like Maynard is going to Wigan.

Agent Balti
Platypuss Scary, isn't it. Although Baseya and Bignall do stretch the definition somewhat.

May as well add Church into that...

Yet still he has the same amount of goals as our greatest ever striker, the man, the legend that is Adam Le Fondre

You know, if there was one Championship player we could sign, I think I'd go for Peter Whittingham. Exactly what we could do with IMO.

Obviously no chance, but he really is fantastic.

Brian's response on this to jonny Fordham on get reading is interesting - he just says "Sharp is a Doncaster player" , doesn't say that he is ruling it out as he often does.... but then again didn't he rule out Le Fondre before we got him!

To be fair he said he's not on our list. (but now you mention it Tim I'll go take a look)

 It'd be nice, tho I don't think he would be the idea partner for Alfie or Church.

according to JF (yes I know hes not reliable) - Sharp is on the list. But obviously would need to meet the release amount plus would he want to come?

Surely even without Sharp we have too many strikers already? Need to ship a couple out I think, especially is Cywka comes in.
