roadrunner Zingarevich Jr. is believed to be a Zenit St Petersburg supporter. Speaking to Fontanka.ru (a St Pete based media outlet) the Russian stressed he aims to create “a profound outfit” at Reading.

Make it so.

Yeah, I would certainly like to see some profound football gracing the green grass of the ZingaStad

Oh God...people are going to call us Zingading, aren't they?!

I've been to an Indian called that. :|

General B Fat arms.

The anorexic wrists make the upper arm look fatter

The other problem with anorexics is that they often have hairy arms and moustaches. Why can't they just be bulimic like normal people?

Having said all that, I'm still very firmly in the 'yes' camp.

Along with the Babooshka reference, that's almost two Kate Bush lyrics in this thread!

Barry the bird boggler
Let's also not forget that supposedly £X has been made available to the club in this transfer window so one presumes that there is money there to back their talk which must be further down the line than Everton got.

I like this business of the money being made available for this window, because it will be an instant litmus test of whether these people are timewasters or not. If the money fails to materialise, we will know they are blaggers. If they put their money where their mouth, is it will show firstly that they have money, secondly that they are provisionally to be trusted, and thirdly that they are serious. I hope the money they are putting up will cover the whole contract of any signings and not just the transfer fee, or we'd risk being lumbered with long-term costs that would just lead to more cloth cutting.

What I keep reading about is takeovers where financial promises are made that are not met--sometimes even to pay wages; and about bidders who have trouble coming up with the money: Carson Yeung was an example of that at Birmingham, and it was a portent of the type of businessman he was. Sullivan and Gold must have known he was dodgy, but they hadn't the scruples that Madejski has about the future of their club.

Yes, show they are investing in infrastructure not just players. Positive sign.
