Jimmy Kebe didn't want more money, positive sign. He just wasn't sure about the direction the club was going. Obviously changed now.

Chris Samuelson indicated we are going for Category One Academy status #readingfc

This is definitely good news.

What does that mean? A better standard of league for the younguns to play in? Money invested?

51% = 25 million

That'll shut the 80 mill speculators up!

Increases my suspicion that SJM may have had to sell due to other business pressures

That Friday Feeling 51% = £25M

TheTilehurstEnd So by my maths the whole of Reading Football Club is worth less than Fernando Torres....

Spirit of Elm Park
roadrunner What does that mean? A better standard of league for the younguns to play in? Money invested?

It means they want us up there with the big boys. Not even all Premier teams will be able to achieve this. Considerable investment required, and more , we can poach other talent more easilly.

At least £2.5m operational budget p.a. apparently

Also, background here: http://thetilehurstend.co.uk/2011/10/24 ... #more-2763

or that he had already reduced his asking price due to our loss of parachute payments, extended stay in the championship as is to be expected

That Friday Feeling
Chris and the Chairman said Anton Zingarevich did indeed pay to watch the Royals in the past - most likely at Elm Park! #readingfc

He's one of us. Comrades 8)

Perhaps he shared a pie with Tommy Burns.

FiNeRaIn So back on topic, what was said?

- RFC right fit for Anton

- Anton is a big football fan

- Will not throw money at it, aim is to improve year by year, will be able to keep all best players and invest in quality players to improve squad.

- Investment in the squad this window is exactly the amount Brian asked for

- Kebe contract is the same as was offered before TSI got involved

- Anton will be at next Reading game he can get to, i.e. when he gets his visa

- Got the feeling there would be significant investment in the squad in the summer

Probably loads that I've forgotten

£25M < £26.3M

What does the £25M investment/purchase do for the club? Genuine question, does JM get 51% of his loan back? Nearly all his money?

Does the club maintain the debt and have £25M sloshing around?

I have no idea how these kind of deals work.

So can we get Shane back then? (as he has been relegated to the bench and is obviously missing Brian)
