I expect 5-0, however the reality is we'll be lucky to win so will go for 2-1, coming from behind again. Gorkss and McAnuff.

Avon Royal Anyone who has supported Reading for more than 5 mins knows that this is exactly the type of game that we screw up.

And it's Portsmouth who we never beat.

Any other season I would have agreed with this. I feel that we may get the win over one of our bogey teams .......

And then have the win expunged from the records.

Its nice to think we might hammer them, but remember, their players are going to be out of a job in a months time. They have reason to play well. They lost today to a top six side, and we should beat them, but......

A lot of people seem to be forgetting that we beat them last season. Not such a massive bogey team, although I hate trips to Fratton Park. Thankfully that won't happen again for at least another 10 years.

Snowball How "bare bones" are they now?

Most of the season they've not fielded a full complement of subs, have they?

Last few away are a mixed bag, but they don't yet look like
pushovers and they will be fighting as long as they can.

Might be a good idea not to get too cocky

0-2 Barnsley
1-1 Blackpool
0-1 Birmingham
3-0 Peterboro
2-3 Cardiff

Maybe not, but in that run, the only win was courtesy of a couple of goals from Huseklepp who has since left.

Chants from Pompey fans of "we will never die"

Bloke with the bell we be there, but without his bell.

A rampant Reading slaughter Pompey 1-0.

Good to see a positive prediction from you for a change. Pompey to go out of business two days later and Reading don't lose any points.

If the players go into this thinking it will be a stroll cos Pompey have already gone down the pan then t'will all go horribly wrong: 1 v 2 Portsmouth (Halford and Nugent, if he still plays for them, if not someone else)

If Brian gets the players heads right and they go out and play as they can do: Reading 3 v 0 (McAnuff, Roberts, Le Fondre)

Wow, so that's about once in 10 years. We're obviously now their bogey team.
