Are players aware of hobnob?

Does anyone know if the players are aware of hobnob - and if so, does anyone know if any have actually logged on to read what is being said?

I know they used to be - Lita knew all about it and so did one or two of the others. I suspect they're warned to keep clear of it now!

I'm sure we have this discussion every season or so. They will definitely know we have a forum, whether they know of hobnob itself I don't know...whether or not they particularly care I very much doubt though to be honest

I think a couple of the players know about it, as they tweet stuff relating to topics on here, but indirectly... If you were a player, could you keep away from reading it? Especially when we are champions

They definitely know about it, one of them retweeted a link to a thread recently IIRC

FWIW a member of staff I know was asked when interviewed by Nicky if he was on HNA and it seemed to be a deal breaker

Of course they know about it and although they're advised not to read it, I bet some do.

Just got to take it with a pinch of salt really - most Reading fans AREN'T on here and the ones that do post are, in the main, total helmets.

Gunnarsson's comments today scotching the rumours that he wants to return to Iceland would seem to indicate that he is aware of hobnob as I don't think the rumours have been elsewhere.

I suspect that many of the players do read these pages and some of our more informed posters might even be players themselves. Human nature would dictate that they would be interested in what the fans think.

My guess is that players may have looked once or twice, after which they would steer clear. The criticism and misinformed nonsense can be horrendous on here, and plainly it would interfere with motivation if you took notice. Bless this site, but we have proved clueless, en masse, over the years at getting much right with regard to players, tactics, whatever; the site is a living monument to the fact that fans have little of constructive use to offer other than support of the club. If our ten most astute posters were put in charge of the team, we'd promptly plummet.
