Pogrebnyak - showed quality in the Prem, beat Fulham to sign him
Guthrie - experienced prem quality midfielder FREE
Shorey - experienced prem left back who knows us to compete with Harte FREE
Marriapa - experienced defender in his prime and iirc Watford's PoTS and captain.
Gunter - up and coming quality right back who knows McCleary well.

All that for under £10m in transfer and signing on fees? Not bad-diddily-ad.
