Woodcote Royal We have to be positive.......................I'm going for him conceding just 6 this time.

I suspect he'll concede the usual 7 though.

The fans could actually support Federici and BEGIN chanting his name.

Came back for Arsenal and as Brendy rightly points out he could have stopped two of them.

Federici certainly won't get his name sung by me for a long time and I look forward to McCarthy returning to repair the confidence in defence but it'll probably be too late by then. Taylor for me, no contest with the defence as fragile as it is.

Hoop Blah
marcusopp Ok, I haven't seen him this season...

This is much more like the fans the club really needs!

Get fecked. you're like a fecking journalist, taking fragments of a sentence in isolation while trying to make a point. i've been watching rfc since i was 10 (1987) and have hundreds of programs. i've always attended games when i can (i live 75 miles away too), but can't get tickets at my convenience now we're in the premiership. so shut your f ucking mouth you 'human paraquot'

SPARTA
Alexander Litvinenko
marcusopp ......
His distribution is excellent, and initiates many an attack. That's the one area he has over McCarthy otherwise they're very closely matched.

Just taking that last point in isolation, I'd argue that. Alex Mc doesn't kick it as much as Federici, but some of the attacks he set-up against Fulham with quick, long throws down the wings were superb.

Memories of Shaka and his long throws to the wings.

Now you'e talking, what a 'keeper. I remember people moaning about him when he made a few gaffes in his early days too. We had two good keepers then too as Francis was a great shot stopper, but didn't adapt to the 'can't pick up a back pass rule very well'!

Shaka was a better keeper than McCarthy will ever be. To even compare the two is insulting to Shaka.

Difficult to compare really mate. Shaka was a lot older than McCarthy, so you somehow need to compare McCarthy in 7 years. Also, Shaka's best days for us were in the 2nd and 3rd tier, while McCarthy's are in the top one. Still, i'd put Shaka in my all time RFC XI (not old enough to remember anyone pre-1987!).

All of you berating Feds kindly f*ck off, we wouldn't even be in this league if it wasn't for him last season.

Yes he's shown mentally he may not be ready for the Prem just yet but give him time, we have two top quality goalkeeps in Feds and McCarthy

Confidence in Feds ? Not as much as I have in McCarthy.

McCarthy was one of the few good things about this season. His injury could be a turning point, and not a good one. Just crap luck . I don't like the sound of that official site news item. Shoulder injuries can be complicated.
Feds isn't bad, but, apart from anything else, McCarthy is taller and more athletic . And he is a better keeper.
My optimism is waning right now.

So he single-handedly won us the league last season?
