Hoop Blah
NR_Royal I still don't understand why he's coming to us.

Why aren't any bigger clubs interested, especially at that price when he was so sought after in the past? Why is he even leaving Sporting CP? This could be a brilliant signing. 8)

Just because they've looked at him in the past doesn't mean they've gone as far as wanting him then, let alone now.

Hopefully he can make the adjustment to the Premier League quickly and successfully. The last player we signed from Portugal was Cisse wasn't it? He struggled to cope with the pace and intensity in training let alone matches.

Odd one really as this isn't the experienced Premier League signing that McDermott has talked about.

Big difference between Cisse and a guy who has played in the CL against teams like Barca and who was made captain of a big European club at a very young age

IMHO

MouldyRoyal Being billed by Reading as a midfielder so expect him to replace Legs in the 4-5-1

YEah, that's how I read it.

Young, decent calibre. I like the look of this signing.

Zac: If Team Numpty don't recognise a soft c, then they can festively go fuck themselves.

The shock on twitter across pretty much all of Europe that we've signed this guy fills me with a strange sense of pride.

Carrico's contract runs until summer 2015, with further one-year option

Yay! Sounds good 2 and a half year deal, with an option to make it three and a half if he is good. Top work by Hammond again.

If he's as good as Carrick then that'd be alright.

Welcome Daniel, looks a good signing, young and hungry good business, and what would seem to be a pretty good price.

I looked at their site and I agree it is confusing as hell. That said, from what I can tell from other sites he's only played as an sub in 3 games this year with 0 games started. So maybe the Sporting site meant that he's read 2 books 4 times while sitting on the bench.
