Gutted I couldn't make it. Was there any good chants? Did anyone belt out "Stick your bubbles up your arse!" like last year?

I heard that there was a drive-by shouting before the game

Like you I couldn't make the game on account of forgetting there was a game on today and arranging to meet a girl in Lonners for lunch and drinks. Gave my season ticket to a mate and nags head regular who claimed the best chant was in the closing minutes: 'West Ham, we always beat West Ham' etc.

Oh and spotted: Troli drinking at the Gateway post match.

Royal91 Reading had some nice triangles going today until that useless donkey L,wood got on the ball.

McAnuff needs to shoot more and the so does the team.

Realistically Reading will probably get in 2 premier league old heads and a hungry championship player.

Priority is a replacement for L,wood or a specialist CAM. I would be inclined to go for a CAM and drop Guthrie into L,wood's role. He can tackle and has the obvious passing ability. He would lose the aerial battles though which would be a concern.

We need another striker with pace

And a versatile defender.

Whatever you think about Leigertwood's ability, let's not forget he was the player who scored the goal that got us promoted, so when people on here call him things like a useless donkey or fukking shit, I think it's more than a little disrespectful.

Well said.

Sometimes when you're used to something you only miss it when he's gone. I can see him being dropped and suddenly our midfield collapses, only for us to realise he's the physical presence we need.

I'm actually disappointed with the WH result. Anything less than thrashing tem 6-0 means there's something wrong. :(

Wizard
LoyalRoyal22 PS the rating off 4 for Ledge is spot on. He has looked out his depth all season. Could tell Guthrie was getting annoyed with him when he couldnt play a return pass

LoyalRoyal22 still proving he's a numpty.

Most people seem to agree with me. How you can defend the season that ledge has had, is beyond belief

wizard proving his judgement on players is poor and mis-guided

+1000000, I actually voted him player of the season last year. Ok he is a little out of his depth in this league, but atleast hes giving it all hes got and boosting everyone around him. I love the likes of Ledge, Tabb, Harte, McAnuff and Hunt who while dont particularly have the quality or composure needed, they more than make up for it with grit and determination.

So because he scored the goal against Forest he can continue to show how shit he is?

It is so annoying when people talk about the past. He was good last year in the championship and no way has he been our best player in two years but now he is beyond shit in the premiership. Get rid off simples. Surely showing respect would get him out of the team to stop him playing shocking and could get transferred to a good championship in January?

He has and will continue to cost us points. Look at the Barry's goal, notice Barry walk past him and he just stood by the penalty spot just getting in peoples way instead of actually marking Barry and giving extra help to Shorey.

Bring in Huddleston!

As for the game, it was throughly entertaining, considering it was a truly horrific game of football. Kebe was so on it, it made me all warm on the inside.

Cole, Nolan, O'Brien (Who are ya?) were all their dirty, thuggish selves as usual. WHam were a terrible footballing side, as bad us to be honest. Without Diame and Carroll they would be in serious trouble.

As for us, defensively everyone was brilliant, to a man. Pearce and Maps were quality, Gunter was too. Harte got caught out in the air a couple of times but overall done his job very well.

In midfield, Kebe and Karacan were immense. Ledge gave the ball away a lot but he also won a lot of challenges. Guthrie and McAnuff weren't able to express themselves in an attacking sense, but both again defended with great discipline.

Really happy for Pog to get the goal which his effort deserves. If we can get the balance between attack and defence right and get Kebe, McAnuff and Guthrie closer to him, then I'm sure he'll flourish.

I agree it's wrong to say he's a shit donkey just because he's having a bad season and isn't good enough for the Premier League. But at the same time just because he was a very important and good player for us in the last couple of years in a lower league, doesn't mean we should ignore his deficiencies this season. The same as McDermott, I don't want to see our players getting unpleasant abuse, but I do expect them to get criticised when they're doing a bad job.

Actually they don't, which is why we've only got 13 points from a possible 60.
