Royal Mail BBC Update

Blackburn 1-1 Cardiff
Posted at 89 mins
Adam Le Fondre has been anonymous throughout this game and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seen enough, taking off the striker for midfielder Magnus Wolff Eikrem. Two minutes left.

Made me chuckle

Just you wait until January when he goes on his annual 4 week hot streak!

MmmMonsterMunch Not sure I see any value in slagging off an ex player who got some crucial goals for us, loved the club & didn't want to leave but to each their own!

Agree, would rather have him still at our gaff than at Cardiff.

Le Fondre is at best a very average player other than in the box. If Cardiff intend playing him as anything other than an out and out striker, the have wasted their money

He really doesn't like making tackles does he? Running about a lot tonight but just chasing after the ball then standing off and letting Blackburn run past him.

Well no. Neither do many strikers but it's very difficult for him to join a club as an out and out striker, train as one and then play right midfield for 80 minutes.

I thought ALF had no influence on the game last night whatsoever; he looked totally invisible.

Whether that's just him, or how he was played by OGS is a moot point; he was a passenger.

+1 ... it's funny how some players can get away with murder, while others just oxf*rd up once and are slated forever ... I think with ALF there is something a bit gay going on. Got to admit even I found him a bit saucy.

No....you need to learn how to read. He obviously knew he didn't feature in Adkins' plans & would probably be sold. He didn't want to go. He was very clear about that fact but feel free to prove otherwise.

I've just clocked that this is one of a few posts you've made that has a pop at ALF. You obviously have a bit of an issue / agenda when it comes to ALF & clearly don't like him.

Notice that those three articles have been posted at the start of each transfer window. These were clearly a subtle come and get me plea from Le Fondre. I'm not disagreeing that he scored some important goals for us but as soon as a chance to move for a "bigger club" arose, he snapped their hand off.

As for your second point. No, I'm not a fan of Le Fondre just purely for the fact that he cannot do anything wrong in the view of the majority of our fans when his ability doesn't justify the fans love for him. Average player at best.

During those transfer windows he was our top scorer yet not starting. This was true under BM & NA.

All it takes is the media to interview him in Jan & say "So Adam can you understand why you're not starting given you're the top scorer?"

"No I can't"

"If it carries on that you won't be playing would you consider leaving?"

"I want to play so yes I would"

I would hardly call that engineering a move. He said on the radio he didn't want to go & his kid was settled in school here. You could tell he was absolutely gutted.

I wouldn't say the fans are in love with him either. I do think he's a fans' favourite yes, but hardly surprising given the many moments of joy he has given in the 90th min or whatever. People have fond memories & many of the good ones over the last 3 years involve ALF.

I fully accept there could be more to his game & that's why he isn't in the Prem right now but you trying to make out he was some kind of bad egg trying to get a big money move is just plain wrong. Most players are competitors & want to play. Nothing wrong with that & it's exactly how it should be.
