HRK

Somewhat of a shout out for him....

I was critical of him a while back - and was unimpressed at times this season (no more so than any other player), but including his recent Wales performances in particular he has REALLY impressed. Think he should be a starter, incredible finishing, pace and strength.

Really recommend watching the Wales match right now, even though he picked up a yellow card (unfairly), he has played amazingly so far - linked up with Bale perfectly, shown great vision and great determination against a strong Croatia team. Gunter also impressing (less so) and given Adkins comments on full backs I fully expect Gunter in or around the first team.

Basically, HRK, you absolute beast.

Agree, the pass to Bale was brilliant. A shame Bale missed a viryual sitter.

I wouldn't mind seeing him play just behind the striker. And yes, he has certainly beefed up too. He'd cause defences a lot of problems playing just off the strikers shoulder.

Certainly one of better players this season and is improving at a rate of knots.

Haven't been a big fan in the past but I am happy to be proved wrong by a localish youngster who has come through the ranks. The beefing up is the thing that is most noticeable this season, he is a lot stronger on the ball and is also showing a lot more composure on the ball. Definitely more to come!

I went to Old Trafford with a United fan mate for our recent game and my mate, when he saw HRK, commented that he looks like an absolute horse, referring to his build.

I'd like to see him play as a striker, not even just behind. Has all the attributes.

He does, and he's said before he'd like a run in the side in that position. That could be Pog's replacement next season if we want someone big and strong up front.

Just subbed, a more than respectable 60 minutes.... only out shadowed by an 19 y/o believe it or not. Jonathan Williams, looks a decent prospect.

And yes... his finishing may not be consistent.... but he's better than McAnuff :D

I have a feeling Hal Robson Kanu will be a very important player for us next season.

I have a feeling he still has something to offer this......Can't believe Adkins wasn't watching HRK while on his sunbed tonight. Fancy him to be the man to get us some goals.

Agree that he's improved and looks promising, but "incredible finishing" when he's missed several decent chances over the last few games is just wrong.

good player, got everything

But- he is still very inconsistent, and blows hot and cold between games and within games. also doesnt work half as hard as mcanuff at defending and filling in where he is required to.

Yeah - I'm pleased with how he's improving, and think in a few seasons, he'll be a great player for us.

Not sure I've seen any evidence that he can last the full 90 mins though. Seems he runs out of steam towards the final third of games.

Except you have basically just described Mccanuff in your "but-" statement. Jobi is 100% more inconsistent than HRK. HRK has made some really important contributions to the team this season and has had more than 3 good games all season... Mccanuff on the other hand...

tbf Mcanuff spent his career being inconsistent until coming here, seems we've got the best out of him.

He has looked good lately. Hopefully we now have a manager who will put a left footed winger on the left flank................
