Did anyone else not realise we were relegated?

Having not bothered looking at the table for many weeks, I confess I didn't realise we were relegated until it flashed up during the Arsenal v Man Utd game coverage.

Even better, one of the ST holders I go with didn't realise until we told him at about 10pm last night.

Anybody out there still not realised? Must be one of the most low-key relegations ever. I didn't even know we had to win the game.

I must admit that I didn't realize either. I looked at the table before the game and thought that a draw could keep us up on goal difference - didn't spot that villa were playing wigan. I don't think my mates realized either as they were all saying "at least we're not relegated until monday".

I heard that a draw would relegate both teams but then just as the game finished I calculated that winning the last three would put us level on points with Villa (only realised at home that Villa have still to play Wigan ...), so thought it wasn't over yet. But to be fair, I already felt we were relegated before this match as I think did the team itself ...

Tard 1 - what happens if it's a draw?
Tard 2 - both team will go down because Villa and Wigan still have to play each other
Tard 1 - Hmmm.....QPR have some good players, I'd be happy with a draw today to be honest

The way the players were throwing everything at the QPR goal in the last 15 minutes told me that we would be relegated if we didn't score.

You see this is the thing - if i'd known we were going down without a win then i'd have been really farked off the two teams weren't going kamikaze in the last 15.

There was a bit of pressure but generally both sides went out with a whimper.

John Madejski didn't realise.....in his after match speech he said that Reading were as good as down but that they would carry on fighting until it was mathematically over.....just as Sky Sports were showing the table with both relegated!

His reaction when he realised was comical.....quickly wrapping up and racing out of the room.....

Even Harry didn't seem to care - smiling away at the end. They were all obviously in it for the money and what possessed Bosingwa to clear a ball off the line when he was hardly bothered the rest of the game, I don't know!

The BBC live text certainly didn't know even after the match had kicked off - I just hope the players knew!

In a sense our best chance of winning might have been to concede a corner in injury time, hope they threw their goalkeeper forward and try and catch them on the break! Mind you the way the match was played QPR might just have tried to shield the ball in the corner!

I accepted it 6 weeks ago. Saturday just passed me by as another miserable afternoon.

Couldn't understand why Adie Williams kept saying we were relegated. Looking at the table we weren't relegated, I just assumed Williams was being thick and couldn't do simple maths.

Did 5 minutes of investigating and found out about Wigan vs Villa, then realised "what a waste of 5 minutes, I'm not really bothered anyway". As if we weren't relegated months ago.
