Other clubs have confirmed their pre-season tours and we're getting into that time of year when RFC confirm theirs too. However, I've heard that there won't be a pre-season tour as such this summer - just 5-7 days of altitude training in Austria/Switzerland, with friendlies back over here.

Seems fair enough. Friendlies against other countries 4th division sides aren't all that beneficial. I'd rather be here playing Wycombe, Brentford and Crawley for the first team warm up games, and the Basingstoke's for the fringe players.

Adkins took Southampton to Switzerland pre-season for each of the last three seasons, playing a couple of games each time - and not against the Binmen XI thye clubs that we'd whip 13-0 in Sweden each year.
