McAnuff - Fans Split. You Decide?

by Judge Drenthe » 27 Jun 2013 21:17

It's only a rumour and most likely a load of nonsense, but a rumour started tonight that McAnuff would be on his way to Brighton for £750k. The majority of responses from Reading fans are that they will drive him there themselves. What is your opinion on him?

Need him as a squad player. Versatile, gives 100% and will not think he's too good.

That majority are idiots. I hope their cars break down and they are stuck in Brighton for life!

That's a reasonable fee, but I think we should be looking to keep hold of our better players such as McAnuff. Tell them they can have McCleary for that fee.

No chance. This guy is a fantastic captain, works his socks off 100% and is a great & experienced Championship midfielder. He will be crucial to us next season and it's about time people stop making him the fall guy and back him.

If he wants to stay we should keep him, if he wants to go we should sell him.

Would be a shame if he went.

I think a change in captain would be for the best. On the basis that it would be awkward to have an ex-captain about the place, it might be for the best to sell him.

Keep as captain but only a squad player, I still think he'd be very good in the championship but we have better. Works hard and put his all in - for me as a captain that'll show the youngsters the right attitude.

I'm just glad I get to decide. You can look forward to Jobi in the hoops again next season.

He really started to enjoy his Footy again under Nigel. I think he'll have a big part to play in our push this season. Deffinitely Stay! :!:

This is a difficult one. I have always though he was underrated by the moaners on here. Always 6 out of 10 every week and tries very hard. In fact I voted him for POTS.

But we have seen the best of him. Even if we get promoted again it is unlikely he would feature in the PL next time and it looks like we are trying to build a PL squad in the Championship now - so if we were offered good money for him I would take it and do everything I could to retain HRK instead. The same really goes for Kebe too as he is too injury prone.

I would like to see HRK on the right, Drenthe on the left and McCleary on the bench and we have the promising Edwards and Obita who could also be given a chance off the bench. If that did not work out we could look to add in January.

However, if we cannot keep HRK then McAnuff should stay.

He's a bit like an old girlfriend you've gotten tired of. I don't want him but i wouldn't want anyone else to have him either. I think he'd be a good asset to someone like Brighton. On that basis i hope we keep him, but i don't think he'll be a starting regular next year.

1 season kebe has missed through injury.
