Matty Carson who has been playing for the U 21’s as a Trialist has signed for the club- good news. He’s 20

Nice. He sounds both good and the sort of player you’re happy to see us take a punt on

Michael Craig is out injured for a couple of months apparently. Paul Ince is reported saying that it’s this injury that’s put an end to getting any more free agents in as the club were looking to get Craig out on loan (which presumably also means they rate him quite highly). That 25 names Reading are allowed must be really wacky(!) as you’d think losing Moore for the season would have freed up a slot anyway.

The evidence of Moore actually being injured may be a touch more, ahem, sketchy.

Said this from the onset when he suffered a set back earlier. Not that it wasn't a set back, or that it couldn't happen, just more that I can't see him kicking a ball for us again, I'm not sure the powers above the management team would take too keenly to that.

The second that statement was posted online, the chances of Moore playing for us again became fairly miniscule.

Just seems weird that he played for the U23s a couple of weeks ago, if he was never going to play for the first team again.

If one is in to " conspiracy theories" the club in all the updates during the match never mentioned his name and did not post a report of the match afterwards.- It was myself in real time said he had played the 1st half only.

But there are never any match reports

He was in the team sheet posted before kick-off, but yeah there wasn't any other mention.

There were also a couple of mentions from journalists on twitter, but yeah, nothing much.

Blimey !!! Reading FC Academy twitter has told us that Ryley Campbell scored the goal !!!!
They have also posted the U 21`s had a friendly against Luton today at Bearwood. 0-0 was the score.

Presumably the numbers heading to Ireland could be Carey’s contacts. We’ve not picked up many Irish based players recently, wonder if we’ll be operating more in that market ?

Not like we haven't sent players there recently - NML went to St Patrick's last year, a couple of years ago we had a couple head out to Waterford
