Nameless
Royals and Racers Anyone wanting the team could have looked on this very thread - some very kind person posted it 30 mins before KO :D

Not always an option if you are at the game
And the ‘kind person’ didn’t give shirt numbers !....

+1

.... was rather the point I was making - I had access at the game - so thanks for the names - but understandably no numbers to go with them - might have been nice to see a line up on the official site perhaps but I think that is rather R&Rs ongoing occasional beef ? 8)

Just had a nose around on Twitter and "RFC Academy"

https://twitter.com/RFCAcademy

does post a team sheet:

https://twitter.com/RFCAcademy/status/1 ... 9074497545

But:

- If they can post it to Twitter surely they could put it up on the big screen too?
- However it still doesn't have shirt numbers (are they simply 1-11 at that age?) so isn't much use

Perhaps Reading could sell an 'I Spy book of Reading Academy Players' where you have to identify the players on the pitch from a picture in the book? Mick and Tim would enjoy it!

THey do wear 1-11 so you can’t even have a generic list of players and their individual squad numbers.
I don’t think the list posted by R&R is in numerical order - thought Ehib(....) wore 9 although he’s probably the easiest one to,identify anyway !

I took it from the RFC academy twitter.- i always use Flash score and soccerway who are both good with line- ups and live updates.

Flash gets the Ehibhatiomhans mixed up - they've had Kelvin score for the U18s in the morning then on the bench in the afternoon.

...actually come to think about it now, I'm almost certain the no 9 wasn't the big lanky striker
- the lad with 9 on his back, lined up more at right-back and moved occasionally into the right side of midfield - had a fairly fancy two-tone hair-scheme - so I'm none the wiser, sorry!

...bit confusing as Wiki has Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan .... as variously 5'10" and 6' 3" - the match report on the the official site confirms Kelvin was the central striker - which, from where I sat, would definitely put him nearer the 6' 3" bracket..... presumably Princewell would the shorter one?? :D

from Reading FC
Up next for the Royals is their second Premier League Cup group game of the campaign, they'll welcome Norwich City U23 to RG2, just three weeks since they last met, as Ali's team look to get some points on the board on their way to hopefully qualifying for the knock-out stages of this year's competition. Kick-off at the Select Car Leasing Stadium will be 1pm, however the fixture will be being played behind-closed-doors.

Tomorrow Monday 11th October is the U23`s 2nd group match in the PL 2 cup. After the disappointing loss at Charlton in the 1st match a win tomorrow is imperative. The game at the Select Car Leasing stadium KO 1pm is BCD- whether Reading FC will stream the match is anybody`s guess !!!
Edit i have been told that the match is in fact NOT BCD and supporters ARE allowed

Clarke clearly not quite ready for the first team, but seems to be really impressing at u23

Lots of potential there

Hopefully he doesn't go the way of Danny Loader and never really makes the jump.

yes of course - don't want to start the hype but there's a lot to like there. Fast, tall, decent shot on him. Just got to keep working hard and progressing
