Nameless So interesting takes from that
- Loader and Olise probably not involved on Sunday
- no Barrett
- no Novacovic , so is he going to be involved on Sunday ?
Either of the above 2 could be replacements or cover if Boye is outstanding
- McLeary and Gunter not involved. To be honest I could understand not asking them to travel to Manchester on a Friday night
- no Howe, but Watson involved

No Osho again. Don't expect him to be in the first team on Sunday, so is he injured, "injured" or about to be loaned out.

Good point.there was talk of a bulk loan to Belgium so perhaps the missing players were on a ferry ?

Wonder if Nova is being lined up for another loan. Currently seems to be about 5th or 6th choice now

Hard to say, it surely depends on how Gomes intends to play most of the season.

Three at the back and two upfront, then yeah, he seems to be behind Joao, Meite, Puscas, Boye and Baldock for two places.

Similar to last season and you've Joao, Puscas, and maybe Baldock for the one central slot.

An injury or some loss of form for someone in the latter and he's right in the mix for at least the bench.

Looks frustratingly shit for him though.

It is unlikely to have much impact.

Might screw us on Loader if he doesn't sign a new contract. However, if you read the article, it says this is only plans at this stage.

Looks like Jordan Holsgrove likely to head to Spain for a year. Training with Atlético Baleares until Saturday ahead of a potential loan move.

Atlético Baleares play in Segunda Division B essentially the 3rd Division in Spain.

That could be good development for him... bit lower than I'd hope for though.

Gets to hang out in Majorca for a year - can’t argue with that

No idea what the standard is like but hopefully strong enough to be worthwhile

If I was him I'd be kicking myself if this deal doesnt go ahead. Soak up some culture and maybe some sun towards the end of the season. Great opportunity to maybe learn some of the language and experience a different football style.

Don't think we could hope for much higher. The Spanish structure is a little different (it regionalises much earlier) but we don't send many players to League 1 level these days. A higher standard than Kelly or Tshibola ever went to.

Hope he has got strong ankles. Anything below La Liga 2, the Segunda, is full of grizzled old pros who kick young players up in the air almost as soon as they look at them.

A couple of years ago one of our then youngsters had a loan deal lined up with New York City. Can't recall if he got injured or someone else got injured so he was needed here as cover, but the deal fell through at the last minute.
Imagine a loan in New York, living the dream !!

It would be sweet but the downside would be the false sense of security you would get by being twice as good as the american lads your age.

Really winds me up when people pretend to have knowledge about teams and leagues they know nothing about.
