Kebe's apprentice
Woodcote Royal
tmesis We had a weak squad by premier league standards, with a lack of investment, but this result isn't about a lack of investment.

Even with the changes we've made, losing to Peterborough alone would be a poor result.

Losing by this margin though, is unacceptable on every level possible.

Exactly.

We may not have the first 11 of the 106 but this is the strongest squad the club has ever had at this level....................this should be a wake-up call for Adkins and his highly tedious apologists.

I don't want him sacked "yet" but if there's one thing that incensed me tonight it was Kelly not getting a game.

This team can't buy a clean sheet and (assuming he was fit) is light years better than Gunter, who has been a liability defensively yet, our Irish international wasn't given a chance on a night when our manager was prepared to make 9 other changes from Saturday........................for this, Mr Adkin's, you really are a twat who got everything he deserved from Posh :|

Kelly's wife was in labour, that is why Kelly did not play

That's it blame Milliband !

I would say it's worse, BM was playing Tabb and Leigertwood ahead of Guthrie despite poor results while Kebe when fit is sure to be a guaranteed starter.

When was the last time we lost by 6 ? Any ideas ?

This is a total disgrace-if any of us had put in that sort of result in our work place, we would be out of the door sharpish-complete lack of a professional attitude-something seriously wrong here.

some of the players playing tonight will not be in NA's plans this season in the league...its a very poor result but we are not the first team to be turned over 6-0 and will not be the last! everything will be forgotten if we go and turn over Yeovil

Platypuss Same old Woodcote RoyaLOL.

For most, the caveat "assuming he was fit" would cover less likely events such as "wife in labour" but not, it seems, for t'internets most irrelevant mod who only fires up his keybord to insult those he doesn't like.

I'm glad there was a reason for Kelly's absence......................at least it means Adkins hasn't completely lost the plot.

I feel vindic8ed with my decision to take a nap this afternoon (here) than to put myself through the second half.

Jesus Christ! I don't care that most of them are "2nd choice players", most of the players on the pitch today were considered good enough to be Premier League players last season. It is the same players as last year and they just got absolutely, and comprehensively, hammered by a League 1 outfit. I think it is an indication that some of them, aside from, but including, the awol Jimmy Kebe, don't want to be with Reading FC this season. I have no other conclusions to draw from this. There is losing a cup match and then there is this...

So, I've just witnessed the goals.

1) Assombalonga allowed to cut inside dangerously, Federici beaten by a daisy cutter at his near post. Pathetic.
2) Super strike but completely left on his own 25 yards from goal.
3) 3 on 1 situation...in our favour. A bit of a twist and turn, and a dinked finish. Federici too far off his line? Maybe, but Swanson should never have been able to get such an easy shot away.
4) Gorkks lunge in, penalty. P*ss poor defending from an experienced defender.
5) Cummings caught out by Barnett. More sh*t defending.
6) Bit of a daisy cutter again, Federici should probably get to it. More poor closing down as well.

And Posh hit the bar a couple of times did they not?

I think NA has trumped McD's 7-5 defeat to Arsenal after being 4-0 up.
Surely no team has ever lost to a lower league team 6-0!

It's a blessing cos now NA will buy a few more players

A centre half and striker must be priority
