TheWhisper McCleary presented some boots to a fan near me before the game on Saturday and fractured his shoulder.

He wasn't on crutches though and had walked right across the pitch and back

Ian Royal Jem wrote in a programme towards the start of the season that he was hoping to be back for Leeds and his family were trying to persuade him that he shouldn't risk playing in it if he was fit.

I assume his recovery hasn't gone as well as hoped as there's been no indication he's close to available.

If I were Jem I wouldn't fancy playing against Leeds given what happened the last two times he's played them.

Well he said he wouldn't even consider pulling out of the game.

Interesting comments here re injuries

In short it says Karacan, Williams and McCleary are all hoping to be back by the end of the month. Adkins, however, says Williams has weeks to go

Tasty.

Norwood and Williams in the middle? I'm guessing, as Nigel has made him captain, Jem is probably Nigel's first choice.

Be great to have McCleary back too. Mackie is pretty bollocks and HRK just gets worse. Taylor is alright but not much to get excited by.

I think Taylor's one of those players who isn't spectacular but has a habit of still popping up with regular goals and assists. Good instincts making the most of decent skill.

I'd like to see him played in behind the striker or on the right as back up to Cox or Blackman ('til McCleary returns) rather than the left... although I'm not sure we've got anyone better for there. I'd not want to play both Taylor and Mackie to start if possible as that's plenty of work, but not a great deal of flair.

I can't help but wonder if Williams is capable of getting fully fit and staying that way long term.

Norwood and Karacan would do fine. A wee bit small maybe.

I personally wouldn't say no to resigning Leigertwood and having him + Norwood as a midfield two.

That's a woody midfield. The thought of it certainly gives me me wood.
