What's the latest kick off you've seen at a Reading match?

Probably just 8pm for me. I would say the "standard" kick off time for midweek although to my mind that should still be 19:45.

Anyone been to a later one?

Delayed kick off at Wycombe in 2002 because of traffic, so likely to be about 8.15 based on it being kick off at 8.

Not sure if this counts, but whilst on holiday in Spain a few years back, I watched a live match on tv that kicked off at 10pm local time. It was still hot at that time of night!

Was just lookign through the old match reports and I saw a man city game in (slightly)old Division 2 that was apparently delayed by half an hour. I definitely saw a Man City game back then, but I'm not sure if it was just the one season we played them or not. That would be about 8.15 I think.

can remember kick offs, but end time is easier

I was here, not sure if its still the latest though

2 March
RFC 1988
On this day in 1988 – the first ever Reading game featuring a penalty shoot-out:
Reading v Coventry City (Simod Full Members Cup semi-final, at Elm Park).
Reading won 4-3 on penalties to reach Wembley for the first time in their history. The final kick by Michael Gilkes was at 10.37pm, which at the time was the latest finish to a professional football match in England!

Kick off was delayed for that Simod Cup match, as there were about 15,000 people outside the Tilehurst End trying to get in.

More importantly, what is the mental state of the person who posted this thread?

I reckon the latest kick off I've seen at a standard afternoon match would probably have to be Cardiff fans when they kicked off after Federici's 96th minute equaliser

Thanks for your contribution to help lift it WAZZOCK, although I fear you're paying undue compliments to some of the others I've started there.

For the hattrick, the first couple of evening games at the Mad Stad were horribly delayed weren't they?

I reckon one may have kicked off at almost 2030.

I'd like to just point out to the neigh sayers (you know who you are, but thanks to those who've supported what has been a tricky first page) that this and two spin off threads from it currently occupy the top three places on the bored.

I'll grant you it's not classic stuff but if it moves the conversation on from "if we win the next three games our chances of promotion will be increased" then I'm all for it.
