I continue to believe that Reading are going to get 'found out', and lose without scoring, perhaps 0-1...

Well it's worked for the last 2 matches

I continue my naive think based on a previous dull and lacking performance (granted we still won), we will come into the next game and find our way, spanking home 6 goals, and finally getting that really big convincing win.

However, it's not really happened yet - despite the amazing Forest game/result.

Bournemouth having lost 3-0 away will be wanting to fight back. I'm going to go for:

2-1 Reading win, we will score first, they will equalise but we will score again in the 82nd minute.

Can we win 3 on the bounce? I hope so, but we need to play better. Win with a bad performance? We'll play well and get turned over by bad luck, a dodgy ref and a defensive blunder.

...Punctuated by a cacophony of boo's raining down on (no) Hope as he is dishonorably discharged by Adkins after 50 mins. Akpan wigs out - throwing gang signs and cut throats at the East Stand - before stomping off the field, casting his shirt the feet of his boss, and spitting on it. Behind the dugout a menopausal lady wearing a bourgeois coat chokes on her Latté. Meanwhile, Akpan is manhandled down the tunnel by the Tango brothers, and locked in the boot room to cool off.

Post match Adkins is pushed one question too far by Dellor, and refuses to continue the interview. After handing back to the studio, Dellor challenges "smuggy-smug orange-chops" to put his dukes up, but even he is surprised by the ferocity of his retort:

Hoping Bournemouth score so they can invade the Mad Stad pitch again. Anyone remember that? Midweek game. Probably the last decent pitch invasion by an away team.

I'd love to think that we could give Bournemouth - winless in 7 - the thrashing that their gimp support so richly deserves.

But we won't because we're crap. 1-1. A draw celebrated like a World Cup win by 2,500 Rumblestick-waving, face-painted away fans.

This is a game I really want us to win.
Their best player is back, Matt Ritchie, who is all left-foot but plays on the right.
For once our right-footed left-back might be an advantage rather than a disadvantage.

Normally they play with the little quick South African striker with Pitman behind or wide in a midfield 5 and Pugh (their second best player?)wide left.
The central midfielders are a bit soft so I am hoping that Danny Williams will be fit.
The back 4 are all over 6ft and yet still concede plenty in the air-both full-backs like to get forward but I would suspect that, after recent defeats, they might stay deep.

Whoever they play, a bit like Doncaster, they tend to have a lot of midfield possession but (famous last words) they lack punch up front and even last night at QPR had 51% possession.
With them having such a poor run this will surely be a case of hitting them early and knocking their confidence even more.

Don't remember that, but I do remember the only midweek game against them at the Madj where they got a last minute penalty....their 500 fans ran down the front expecting to celebrate only to see the ball smashed high over their heads

Ah Bournemouth and their bizarre obsession with us. Well it's a day off for someone, isn't it?

3-1 (Pog 2, Akpan)
