Woman's t-shirt? That'll suit AFCB fans then, bunch of girls. Their fanbase makes ours look like Shadwell Army by comparison.

I think it's down to being in the same league as them for the best part of 50 years and geographically being comparatively local. They hate us with an unrequited passion.

Portsmouth and Southampton are too interested in each other to given them a second glance. Likewise, our attentions were always drawn further north and south east.

It's great to be hated :D Neither s*indon or o*ford hate us with any venom as they are too obsessed with their own A420 related rivalry. Journeys to Bournemouth in the 70s, 80s and 90s were always great fun and we were always supported. Bring it on!!!

Went over to gauge the hatred and it appears some square (from the Upper West presumably) is arselicking them, even going as far as to give them the full Madejeski Stadium bar + snacks price list

The hate diffusion seems to be working though as none of them have told him to do one...

I think it'd be funny if a few turned up for trouble, imagine Y25/26 peg it

I do remember the Bournemouth friendly a couple of years ago when about 40 or so tattooed 40 year olds in Ralph Lauren polos who arrived 20 minutes in and left 40 minutes in

I would post about how indifferent I am to a rivalry with Bournemouth but I'm just not that bothered.

LOL @ Clyde1988, put all that effort in to sound like an absolute HOMO

Edit: oh what a surprise, he's only been supporting Reading for the last decade

2nd Edit: What in the actual f*ck is this Royals Rendezvous website :|

The Royals Rendezvous – the 1871 Club – was formed over the Christmas-New Year period of 2010-2011. Many of its initial members were regular contributors to the BBC 606 service – alas, no longer in operation – who wished for a more specialized Reading FC orientated forum, whilst maintaining the good spirited type of conversation and banter that the BBC tried to promote.

In its first two years of existence, the Royals Rendezvous is achieving outstanding success, with new members signing up continuously, and the member base itself extremely active. Over 600 members, over 100,000 posts is proof enough of the growing role of this specialist Reading FC fans forum web site. It is already recognized in other sporting circles as a major source of news and fan interaction (especially that related to Reading Football club of course), and has a strong and enthusiastic moderation team.

Royals Rendezvous has also developed fine relations with many other specialist football forums, especially with teams of our own league.

You’re currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are many features you cannot use.

However, if you are a fan of another team you are currently allowed to post in “Rivals, but Friends” and the "Other Matches" sections, strictly abiding by the language decency standards that Royals Rendezvous maintains. No aggressive posts, wind-ups or swearing or the post will be edited/deleted. But please read on....

Anyone who used the phrase 'BANTER' in a non-ironic way is a d*ck.

I don't get the Bournemouth hatred of us. Maybe it's because we've surpassed them in temrs of stature. 8)

It's not such a bad place. Would be pretty pointless if it was the same as HNA in terms of substance and attitude though wouldn't it?

Was my first port of call when BBC606 shut down. I've posted these PM’s to me from the mods at Royal Rendezvous before but you might get a kick out of em. To reiterate we didn’t see eye to eye.

Hey there,

I've had some feedback regarding your posts on the forum and some others don't find some of the content appropriate. This is relating to the recent necrophilia content and what you told a fellow poster to do with a nail gun.

I'm not having a major go here just something needed to be said and I'm attempting the diplomatic approach. I think you just need a polite reminder that this is a family forum and not everyone finds the same sort of things appropriate.

The majority of your last post was fine, it was just the bit about anal sex ‘until he’s sick’ that many took exception to.

As I've previously said, I'm not here to have a fight with you and I'm not looking for any sort of argument over it at all. You're free to let me know your thoughts about it.

All the best

EP,

We’ve had some further complaints regarding your behaviour on the player ratings threads. I know you're a smart guy, that's why I'm wondering are you trying to see how far you can push the boundaries here. I'm probably more easy going that some of my more senior colleagues, but I don't think things like 'Rape Rating' and how easy players might fit inside a suitcase are appropriate for this forum.

I know you can rip the p*** out of anything or anyone and keep it clean, so please, try to keep the content clean and refrain from rating players in such a sexually explicit and indecent manner from now on and perhaps focus more on their performance.

Regards,

Royals Rendevous

I’m writing not just because the moderators are growing uneasy, but because I’ve/we’ve also received PMs from individual users. You don’t seem to be heeding your warnings.

I swear regularly in adult company (and in the music world it’s rife) but this is a family forum. My son, who is 10, reads comments on here – he has his whole life in front of him to discover what a ‘man-delion chain’ is without having to ask what it means whilst he’s still at primary school. If you need to express yourself this way then ask yourself where your best interests lay.

Last warning.

There was a Bournemouth game at the end of the season when we lost to Walsall in Cardiff, when Caskey came off the bench to bring it back to 3-3 and keep them out of the play-offs. They seemed like really close rivals then, bought loads of fan who clearly hated us and made lots of noise, so it has been a pity we haven't played them much since. I am all for their t shirts.
