Agree with Hurlock, Tait and Whitehurst - shame none of them were with us that long

A guy some on here will remember from the sixties is John Chapman a player not to be messed with, remember a game at elm park against Oldham he had a scrap on the half way line near the players tunnel, him and the Oldham guy knocked 60 colours out of each other. He was one not to be messed with !

In addition to all of the usual suspects, AJD's aforementioned Percy Freeman, John Mackie and Stewart Henderson could make a block or two

I always remember a game v Millwall at the Mad where Steve Sidwell & Dennis Wise were making eye-watering tackles on each other, but they didn't seem too bothered about getting injured.

Tait was at the club for three years (87-90)

He'd definitely have been in the same team as Whitehurst

Can't remember if he was ever in a team with "Terry's gonna get you" Hurlock though

Happy days!

Don't think so - Hurlock left before Billy joined. Linden Jones would have been in that side though!

Was thinking of whether I'd seen a game with Tait and Hurlock at the same time
