Libertine Tbf any urban area with over 50,000 people in the US is classed as a city...

In which case Reading is on par with Kansas City.

how many people live in reading? edit: just compared kansas city and readings population stats and you appear to be right, i thought reading was a LOT smaller of a town than it actually is.

Reading is a city in every sense of being a city by the American definition. Why the UK doesn't feel it is a city is a-whole-nother story, for a different discussion, not on the team board.

sandman Interesting interview with our new American whizz kid:

Looks promising for the future and the fact he has been able to adapt as he has met stiffer opposition is a good asset to have. The advantage of having family in the area will be a stabilising influence too. It will be interesting to monitor his development. Another "ONE UP" for our powerful Academy!

But they were Swansea Town at the time, so more of an imperative to change.

I would have thought Reading Town and Swansea Town would be in roughly the same boat vis a vis city status name change imperatives....

Seems to be the way we are going, trying to take advantage of dual nationality Americans

We've been looking at Jake Rozhansky, still got an eye on John Schroeder (born in England) who we had on trial last year.

Is the dual nationality thing a big deal ?
I guess it makes it easier to bring players over but does it make any difference in terms of the ' home grown' requirements ?
