"The Reading Post understands talks have been held which could lead to the interested party taking on the Russian’s 51-per-cent stake."

Post appear to back the idea of a takeover rather than a mere exchange of ideas on youth development.

But multi says it's a full buyout.

Post say 51%.

So a few things flying about tbf, whichever way you look at it. Something is not quite right at the club.

We need players that a capable in and quick.

Uke It was clear from Everton that something wasn't right

Numerous deals to buy Everton have not gone through over recent years for well known/rumoured reasons.

ah fair enough. I had never looked into the detail so believed, like the other offers, it had not gone through due to Kenwright's helmet like behavior

So anyway, who were the know-it-alls who were absolutely certain that a 2 month delay in AZ buying out the other part of SJM's share was "nothing to worry about and would happen"? :|

as an aside, if anyone is still in any doubt how costly this whole business is, read this

http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/109 ... ?ref=var_0

short summary: Bolton now £163.8M in debt - losing £50.7M last financial year despite trimming wave bill from £55.3M to £37.4M

Very fortunate club to have an owner who keeps piling in the cash. FFP will be a problem though

He was previously charging them interest though, but that appears to have now stopped to help them clear the debts. The problem is, they haven't had a profit for several years, so paying that lot off is almost impossible.

"It should go without saying that Eddie Davies continues to provide a humbling level of support to the club. However, the financial support given by owners is no longer possible in this league without severe penalty," he said.

Good luck with that.

Do you really believe that?
3 centre-backs only
Just the 1 left-back
Just the 1 target man up front
Ledge and Roberts on the books but never play
Sharp only on loan

On paper we have quite a few experienced players but most of them have seen better days (Jobi, Gorkss, Ledge,Bridge, Roberts, Baird) so I can't agree with you that we have one of the strongest squads.

The whole squad needs to be changed really apart from McCarthy. Both to clear the deadwood and also to shift the big earners.

Barry the bird boggler IF this is true then according to wiki he is 73, he is an honorary general in the British army and is head of the Omani police, army, Air Force and navy. He also has a heap of British honourary Knighthoods...

Whatever. Vic_Flange has four kids, runs his own company and is the MD of two others.

Yeah an announcement like ' We aint buying that pile of shit' (in an arabic accent). Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Knowing our luck it will be a tight fisted arab investor too!
