So the facts of the situation at the moment are this...

A Thai led consortium have agreed a deal with JM and made a £5m down payment. Due diligence (financial stuff) is almost complete and a form has been sent to the FL asking for FPP clearance. No comment will be made officially by the club until things are all cleared up.

Therefore it will remain all quiet until then.

Royalwaster Can deals be consummated? Thought it was just marriages ....

Samrit Bunditkitsada, John Madejski and Nick Hammond consummating the deal - please do not put that on Reading FC player :o

Lets hope the Sir John and Hammond bend over backwards to accommodate Samrit and that he follows though and delivers without pulling out halfway though like Anton.

I thought they had stated that SJM was keeping it.

blueroyals Why did the club announce TSI prematurely relative to the Thais?

I guess they didn't know they were establishing a precedent with TSI...

they've no doubt learned a lesson and want everything nailed before they go public. Time of year is possibly relevant too, TSI came in during the season and put money in straight away, there is not quite the urgency during the summer.

Ian Royal I'd just like to say at this point that multisync knew something about Peak 6 about a week or two ago.

No he didn't.

I told Ian 'Peak6' on June 7th in a PM 8)

Anyone can say they've got a source. Anyone can name a source. Doesn't mean they've got one or what they're saying is true. Hell, anyone can take a stab at predicting what's going to happen claiming to have a source and get lucky. Never just believe what someone tells you. Require evidence.

Multisync tossed me a bone via pm the other day. If it proves to be accurate I'll happily advise to boost his credibility.

and to be fair to Ian - he did.

Because the papers had got hold of far more of the details on the sly and were about to run with it. So the club got out their side much earlier than they wanted to.

Mr.Swainey It's the World Cup for goodness sake, who cares which spastic John Madejski has sold us too.

1) Nothing to suggest that any of the new owners have cerebral palsy
2) Most people are able to maintain an interest in more than one thing over the period of a month.
