Doesn't look good:-

@charles_watts: On the takeover. Was told the money transfer from Thailand is what's being worked on. Political situation complicating things #readingfc

Apparently it is difficult/impossible(?) to move large amounts of money out of Thailand at the moment.

My friend from Thailand thinks that moving significant sums of cash from Thailand can quite literally takes months because of all the red tape.

Apparently some people over there have been caught trying to move out one large chunk of money in smaller chunks and have faced serious repercussions.

I sincerely hope this isn't the case because surely SJM and his advisers would have known all this before entering into an agreement with Samrit.

Does anyone recall if all of the investors are from Thailand?

On a different note I was very impressed with Barry Hearn and FB after hearing their interviews on Sky. I think we could have missed out on a good owner.

Lol, there's a reason the Italian fella has bought a club in L1 that has limited potential for expansion

I have always been a strong supporter of SJM but I am beginning to wonder if he has made another poor decision....

Is there a set time limit I wonder.

If Samrit can't get at his money to buy the club for several months, how long before SJM allows other bidders in?

Perhaps our Sam should tape his cash to the tits of some bird and smuggle it out of Thailand.

CrispyRoyal Can't believe Spring has been omitted from the list of bodies of water. Disappointed.

is a spring a seper8 entity from the body of water it spawns?

shirley its just the start of a stream or river?

Very much agree that a spring is a source of water rather than a waterbody per se.

Brendy's top 50 aquifers would make interesting reading, though.

Surely we should have known about the problems in Thailand and taking money out? Have we burnt our boats due to lack of foresight again??? Sounds like we will just have to settle down and survive with the younger players and hopefully pay the bills. Avoid relegation should be the new mantra. Frankly, despite being a long life supporter I find the whole thing becoming boring and feel less enthusiastic now than ever before.

Without having any inside knowledge of this takeover at all, I'm a lot less confident about this then I was at this point with TSI...which is a worry.
