It's the World Cup for goodness sake, who cares which spastic John Madejski has sold us too.

This might stop most of the doubters on here:-

@msljukic3: @RobinBendall @ReadingFC__News nothing to panic. The Thais have it The Thais have it! Order! Order. Exclusivity with Thai until it's theirs

MSLJUKIC3 explained to me that some money had to be paid over by Tuesday which was done. That was probably were Tim Dellor got the time limit of Tuesday from.

Samrit Bunditkitsada's takeover of Reading FC has edged closer towards completion after his Asian consortium made an initial down payment this week.

The 39-year-old, known as ‘The Big,’ has agreed to pay £25million to take control at Madejski Stadium.

Some of that fee has now been paid and the rest will be transferred once he has passed the Football League’s Owners and Directors Test.

The Thai is leading an Asian consortium which is believed to contain businessmen from Malaysia and possibly India.

He is due to return to England from Thailand sometime next week but Pairoj Piempongsant, the man who brokered the deal, is expected back here this weekend.

Piempongsant, who was behind Sheikh Mansour’s purchase of Manchester City from Thaksin Shinawatra, has been with Bunditkitsada in Thailand finalising the deal.

Thai consortium impress Royals' director of football Nick Hammond

Due diligence was started on Monday and getreading.co.uk understands that process is now all but done.

Despite the developments, Royals chairman Sir John Madejski is remaining cautious and says there are other parties who remain interested.

"The Thais are quite advanced in their negotiations but nothing's been absolutely signed and sealed," he said.

"You'll know when a deal is done.

"I prefer to say nothing until a deal's absolutely been consummated."

I'd just like to say at this point that multisync knew something about Peak 6 about a week or two ago.

Madman just said the same normal things like he always does. Not done yet, getting closer... then he said we all know whats going on!

He knows that Dave Royal has joined HNA! Rejoice! An insider.

Now to complete that offer for Ross McCormick

The exclusivity agreement was until last Tuesday pending x amount being paid. That was paid, and now the agreement runs until the Football League make their decision. SJM is just being cautious and doesn't want egg on his face.

Extended-Phenotype Great. So we aren't actually any closer.

On the contrary. Due diligence began on Monday and CW confirms it's all but done. Now we wait for the Football League to get a shift on. If these guys provide proof of funds nice and promptly, it wont take a great deal longer.

That's going to be confusing having Ross McCormick and Ross McCormack in the same squad ...

I think this means we are expecting to do the announcement and press conference "sometime next week"
