Back From The Game - Wigan

by arthurfondrelli » 17 Feb 2015 22:15

Absolutely awful. One of the worst displays I have seen from a Reading side.

HRK our best player by a mile, not saying much though

Dreadful. They should be ashamed of themselves for putting in that performance.

Considering the wages they receive to deliver up that load of crap, they can pay me the expenses and ticket price I incurred to endure it. They should be ashamed, just as I am for supporting a team when they play like that !

Pathetic. Did we even manage a shot in the last 20 minutes?

We deserve to be relegated for that performance alone. Awful.

The less said about this game the better. That was just completely awful.

And Wigan took the mick with their time wasting. It's amazing how we go from beating Derby at their own ground to losing at home to the 2nd bottom team in the league in your own ground.

He should be telling them that NOONE will be playing on that performance against bradford and should now need to earn the right to start.

I thought all 11 were woeful, there was not even best of a poor bunch.

Worst performance than Leeds by a mile.

No. Lots needs to be said about this game - so that a performance of that nature doesn't ever occur again.

By far and away, one of the worst team performances i've seen for a good long while. Utter gash.

Chalobah is not a centre half.

Why did we keep humping the ball up front when Pog had been out muscled for pretty much every previous ball?

Why can we not retain posession from a throw in?

Why did I see that coming?

Speechless. just when you thought they couldn`t get worse than last week this lot go and achieve it, I would imagine Bradford had scouts at this game, go and get your semi final tickets printed lads.
Anyone who thinks we are too good to go down need to have a rethink, because on this form we are not winning another home game this season.
For the last half hour it was long punt after long punt, with the Wigan midfield picking up every loose ball in the middle of the park from Readings non existant mdfield.
players marks for what they are worth:
Federici :2. the second week his mistake has cost a goal, been our best player this season, but that was schoolboy stuff tonight.
Kelly:3. didn`t get forward enough no width, no nothing
Chalabha:2. is there a clause in his loan contract that he has to play every game?
Pearce:1. Stead will have a field day on this form
Obita:2 see Kelly
HRK:3 . one of our better players, but thats not saying much
Williams:2. overun in midfield by a very average Wigan team.
Norwood:2. seems to have lost any semblance of form he had before.
McCleary:3 one or 2 decent runs. but mostly his crossing was poor.
Cox: 1 one word..apppalling.
Pog: 4. feeding of scraps and long balls over the top, tried but seemed to give up in the end, and who can blame him?

Kelly was ok-wish but the rest were beyond awful

Chalobah can f'ck off, he offers nothing above anyone else Chelsea my fat arse, the guy loses the ball more than the rest of the team put together and I'm not sure he managed a pass to a Reading player in the last half an hour. Beyond bad.

Also, I didn't think it was possible to make the team worse, but Clarke's substitutions managed just that. Once Yakubu and Blackman came on, literally nothing happened for the rest of the game

Did Chalobah managed to actually complete a single pass in the entire game? If he's a natural centre back then so am I.

The ref was poor, Pog had no protection whatsoever and how he didn't give a penalty when Pogs shirt was literally over his shoulders from a shirt pull I will never know, but we deserved absolutely nothing from that. Worst performance from any team I've ever seen, and by far and away the worst game I've ever seen.

Whilst I am not in the habit of agreeing with Dellor his comment tonight that this is probably the worst Reading side in the past 15 years was not far short of the mark.
For the second home game in a row I left early as I just couldn't see where a goal was coming from.
Adkins couldn't sort out this bunch of overrated dross and Clarke is doing an equally poor job of papering over the cracks.

I really can't be arsed to try and give marks but safe to say there was not one above 5/10.

Phil Parkinson was at the game, sitting a few rows away from me. I'm sure he was rubbing his hands with glee at full time - I, on the other hand, had buggered off home in the 85th minute.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Couldnt go tonight but listened on the radio. Sounded like we started brightly but went behind against the run of play. I then fell asleep, only to wake up when we entered 11 mins of stoppage time. Was it really worse than the leeds game? Has anyone got anything even slightly positive to report? Amything at all?

Only 14,601 were there to witness it. That's about the only positive I can think of.
