JIM When do we get a hint of who is coming into the mad stad . Or are we just waiting for the big let down again, no money no new players , What is the difference between us royals and the idiots who follow Man city ,Liverpool ,Arsenal who already announce new players , and give heart to next season already,I guess at my age ,over 70 I can just live in expectation that this is THE YEAR ,

Difference is money, if you have any you can pay your money and take a risk, if like Reading there is a history of acquire and develop then seeing who is released and with new owners willingness to invest being unknown it is a question of wait and see

Sutekh
John Smith Let's just get relegated next season, storm League 1 the one after, then win the Championship the season after that. Sort of like Southampton.

Yes cos it's always so much better to get relegated

It does sometimes work out better. Norwich and Wolves being case in points. Both strugled, went down then bouncd back up to the right end of the table. There are oyher examples.

Better to finish 24th, 2nd, 8th, 11th than
19th, 17th, 21st, 18th.

How can relegation possibly be better for a football club? Relegation to League 1 would see a massive loss in revenue and more people losing their jobs at the club.

It looks likely Jamal Blackman will join Reading on a season long loan from Chelsea.

Bollox. Time for Hamer or someone like that.

Could see it coming from a mile off though.

shame about fedders....dedicated to the cause, didn't cause waves when playing second fiddle to McCarthy and will be sorely missed

This might be a hoax. Nothing up on official sources (BBC Sport, twitter feed etc.)

I don't know, if anyone can produce a source from either club I'd believe it.

Have you been on the RFC website lately? They're yet to confirm the fucking pre-season tour and the sacking of the kitman yet let alone some real transfer news. Absolutely useless.

No doubt they're too busy sampling new air raid sirens for pre-match or another mascot to represent some kind of social minority.

Pepe the Horseman Feds has gone.

Fair enough, you can't complain when he chooses to go to a PL club with a decent chance to be No 1.

Be interesting to see if Andersen is now offered a contract.

It is a long summer - one player does not make a team as Reading fans had drummed into us so many times last season as Mackie tried to win games alone at times.

Let's hope the Wales team do well and Gunter and HRK catch the eye of other clubs enough for offers to be made and to justify resigning them both so Reading FC have a few pennies to spend during the summer.
